Abstract

Buah mahkota dewa merupakan salah satu tanaman yang
memiliki kandungan antioksidan tinggi yang bisa digunakan sebagai
inhibitor korosi pada baja API 5L grade B di lingkungan NaCl 3,5%
dan H2SO4 1M. Buah mahkota dewa di ekstrak dengan metode
refluks kemudian di karakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometri
UV-Vis untuk menentukan kandungan flavonoid total yang terdapat
pada ekstrak buah mahkota dewa. Untuk pengujian laju korosi,
efisiensi inhibitor serta mekanisme inhibisi menggunakan pengujian
weight loss, polarisasi potensiodinamik, EIS dan uji FTIR. Dari
pengujian yang telah dilakukan di ketahui efisiensi tertinggi inhibitor
ekstrak buah mahkota dewa dilingkungan NaCl 3,5% adalah 79,15
pada penambahan inhibitor 2000 ppm pada waktu 288 jam dengan
efisiensi rata rata 77,24%. Pada larutan elektrolit H2SO4 1M efisiensi
tertinggi inhibitor ekstrak buah mahkota dewa adalah 87,672% pada
penambahan inhibitor sebanyak 4000 ppm pada waktu 6 jam dengan
rata rata efisiensi di 4000 ppm adalah 81,06%. Ekstrak buah mahkota
dewa merupakan tipe mixed inhibitor untuk media elektrolit NaCl
3,5% dan H2SO4 1M. Dengan mekanisme inhibisi adsorbsi fisisorpsi. ========= Mahkota dewa fruit, one of the plants which has high
antioxidant content, can be used as a corrosion inhibitor on the API
5L grade B steel in the NaCl 3.5% and 1M H2SO4. This inhibitor is
extracted with reflux method then characterized using UV-Vis
spectrophotometry to determine the content of total flavonoids which
found in fruit extracts. To calculate the corrosion rate, the efficiency
of inhibitor and inhibition mechanism using a weight loss,
potentiodynamic polarization, EIS and FTIR examinations. From the
done examinations at the highest efficiency inhibitor known that in
NaCl 3.5% is 79.15% on the addition of 2000 ppm inhibitor at 288
hours with an average efficiency of 77.24%. At 1M H2SO4 solution,
the highest efficiency of this inhibitor is 87.672% on the addition of
4000 ppm at 6 hours with an average efficiency of 81.06%. Mahkota
dewa extract is a type of mixed-inhibitor in the NaCl 3.5% and 1M
H2SO4 media electrolytes. With the inhibition mechanism of
adsorption fisisorpsi.
