Abstract

Pada tugas akhir ini, akan dibahas pengurangan arus inrush dengan metode VCT-ICL. Metode VCT-ICL adalah modifikasi metode DC reactor-type inrush current limiter dengan menambahkan komponen VCT. Kontribusi komponen VCT adalah untuk mengurangi distorsi pada gelombang tegangan. Objek studi tugas akhir ini adalah transformator daya 150 KV Gardu Induk Kenjeran. Dan program simulasi yang digunakan adalah ATP-EMTP. Inti pemodelan pada tugas akhir ini ada 3 macam kondisi, yaitu pemodelan eksisting sistem (sebelum dipasang VCT-ICL), pemodelan setelah dipasang ICL (DC reactor), dan pemodelan setelah dipasang VCT-ICL. Kemudian dari hasil pemodelan tersebut didapatkan perbandingan arus inrush dan tegangan dari ketiga macam kondisi tersebut. Besarnya nilai impedansi pada VCT-ICL sebanding dengan nilai arus inrush yang dikurangi, sehingga metode ini cukup fleksibel untuk mengurangi arus inrush seperti halnya ICL (DC reactor). Namun hasil simulasi membuktikan bahwa distorsi pada gelombang tegangan paling besar terjadi pada kondisi setelah dipasang ICL (DC reactor). Kemudian setelah dipasang VCT pada ICL dengan nilai parameter DC reactor yang sama, distorsi yang dihasilkan akibat pemasangan DC reactor dapat dikurangi. ===================================================================== In this final project, inrush current reduction by VCT-ICL method will be explained. VCT-ICL method is a modified from DC-type reactor inrush current limiter method by adding VCT component. VCT component contribute to reduce distortion on the voltage waveform. The object of this final project is 150 KV power transformers of Kenjeran substation. And a simulation program used is ATP-EMTP. The main discussion in this final project are three kinds of conditions, there are the existing modeling system (before being installed VCT-ICL), modeling after being installed ICL (DC reactor), and modeling after being installed VCT-ICL. Then from the modeling results obtained inrush current and voltage of the three kinds of conditions. The value of the impedance at the VCT-ICL is proportional to the value of inrush current is reduced, so this method is flexible enough to reduce the inrush currents such as ICL (DC reactor). But the simulation results prove that the distortion in most large voltage occurs in conditions after being installed ICL (DC reactor). Then after VCT installed on the ICL with DC reactor parameter values are same, distortion generated due to the installation of the DC reactor can be reduced.
