Abstract

Irrigation Area of Rawa Semando located in District
Babat, Lamongan with 1661 ha wide of area. The growing season
in Irrigation Area Rawa Semando starting from early December,
with the kind of plants like rice and polowijo. However, the
distribution of water to irrigate the fields is notenough yet,
because of this, the cropping intensity that occurred in the
irrigation area Rawa Semando less than the maximum, as the base
can be seen that the cropping intensity that occurs only reached
254.84%.
From these problems, it will be needed for the
exploitation and maintenance of irrigation area Rawa Semando.
Which aims to increase the intensity of cropping patterns by using
flow intake of Rawa Semando, then optimized with the Solo
River diversion channel. Also, to increase productivity and
cropping intensity it requires the calculation of the cropping
pattern using FPR system (Relative Polowijo Factor). With the
proper maintenance and maintenance it will be expected that the
water needs of plants can be fulfilled optimally.
Judging from the economic, social, educational, and
others that invested in the project is valuable or not, so it needs to
be counting with BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio), if the value of the
iv
BCR> 1, then the project is feasible to invented. From the
calculation, that the BCR existing obtained by 1.46, and the BCR
plans amounted to 1.48. Although there is only a small difference
between the existing and planned, the project is expected to be
invested a good view of the social side as well as others, so the
needs of cropping intensity and rice production from the
Lamongan District can grow well.
