Abstract

An electrical system will not escape the interference that can damage the equipment. To protect existing equipment, a protection system is needed that is able to the continuity and reliability of the electrical system. Not only the electricity system in the company or the power plant that needs a good protection system. But in electricity distribution, PT PLN (Persero) as a provider of electricity requires a coordinated and reliable protection system. Good protection certainly has a coordination of protection in accordance with the needs, so that security relay can secure distribution and transmission equipment at the 150 kV Segoromadu Substation PT PLN (Persero). The protection relays intended here are Over Current Relay (OCR) and Directional Ground Relay (DGR) and Differential Relays as the main safety power transformers. Because many distribution feeders experience interference, causing overcurrent relays (OCR) and ground fault relay (DGR) to function. Not only the feeder distribution also occurs on the transmission side, the settings for overcurrent relay and Differential relay must be well coordinated. From the analysis of the time flow curve of the test conditions, there are recommendations found from the evaluation results. In the existing conditions of relay setting, there are still evaluations in securing electrical equipment. Starting from pickup settings, delay time and assessment time 0.2 - 0.4 seconds, which is not in accordance with the IEEE 242 standard. And relay differential settings of %slope, which are recommended according to the external and internal fault values of the power transformer.
