Abstract

Perusahaan Pasta Gigi (PG) bergerak di bidang produksi fast moving
consumer goods (FMCG) di Indonesia, dengan salah satu produk utamanya, yakni
Pasta Gigi A 190 gram (fast production). PG berkeinginan untuk mengetahui dan
menganalisa mengapa business process yang dijalankan untuk Pasta Gigi A 190
gram masih belum optimal. Hal ini disebabkan adanya beberapa pemborosan
(wastes) yang ternyata masih belum bisa diidentifikasi dan dieliminasi oleh
perusahaan di dalam business process Pasta Gigi A 190 gram, seperti waiting,
excess inventory, error (defect/reject/rework), transportation, dan lainnya. Agar
improvement (eliminasi waste) yang akan dilakukan dapat terintegrasi ke setiap
bagian jaringan supply chain, dan dapat berdampak lebih besar serta menyeluruh
di dalam business process Pasta Gigi A 190 gram, diimplementasikan konsep lean
supply chain. Melalui konsep Lean Thinking yang digunakan untuk
mengeliminasi waste yang terjadi, dan metode pendukung Multi Criteria Decision
Making (MCDM), yaitu Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) yang digunakan
dalam pembobotan waste, serta beberapa assessment untuk mengukur performansi
perusahaan, dibuatlah skenario perbaikan yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi riil
perusahaan.

A company named Perusahaan Pasta Gigi (PG) was running their
business in industry sector of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) that had main
products, one of them is Pasta Gigi A 190 grams. PG wanted to know and analyze
why their business process of Pasta Gigi A 190 grams is not optimal yet. This is
caused by there are some wastes in that business process that couldn’t be
identified and eliminated by company itself yet, such as waiting, excess inventory,
error (defect/reject/rework), transportation, and etc. Lean Thinking concept
would be implemented, so the improvement (waste elimination) that company will
do in the future, can be effected and integrated to every stages of supply chain
network. Through the concept of Lean Thinking that is used to eliminate all
wastes that happened, and one of Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM)
method, that is used as support, which is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is
used in waste weighting process, also some assessments are used to measure
company performances, then improvements scenario are made and adjusted with
company’s real condition.
