Abstract

Belanja online menjadi salah satu manfaat yang dapat dirasakan dengan semakin berkembangnya internet. Salah satu yang produk/jasa yang popular diperjual-belikan secara online adalah tiket elektronik (e-ticket). Electronic ticketing atau e-ticketing adalah salah satu bentuk e-commerce yang berkembang dalam industri jasa layanan transportasi umum (seperti: pesawat terbang, kereta api, bus, dan lain-lain). Salah satu perusahaan yang menerapkan teknologi e-ticketing adalah PT. Kereta Api Indonesia, yang diberi nama rail ticket system (RTS) pada tahun 2012. Penerapan e-ticketing ini sebagai bentuk usaha PT. KAI dalam meningkatkan kualitas kepada para pelanggan. Tetapi disisi lain sistem ini masih memiliki beberapa kelemahan, sehingga masyarakat menanggap bahwa implementasi sistem ini belum optimal dan efektif. Hal ini menjadi tantangan bagi PT. KAI untuk meningkatkan performa dan kegunaan dari rail ticket system agar sistem ini dapat bermanfaat serta diterima dan digunakan oleh masyarakat dalam jangka panjang. Dengan menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dalam menguji teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dapat dibuktikan bahwa rail ticket system milik PT. KAI dapat diterima oleh masyarakat Kota Surabaya. Dengan nilai pengaruh variabel perceived ease of use terhadap perceived usefulness adalah 0.652, variabel perceived usefulness terhadap attitude toward using sebesar 0.330, variabel ease of use terhadap attitude toward using sebesar 0.431, dan variabel attitude toward using terhadap behavioral intention to use berpengaruh sebesar 1,181.
Sehingga didapatkan bahwa masyarakat Kota Surabaya telah dapat menerima implementasi RTS sebagai alternatif pemesanan tiket kereta api dan mengganggap aplikasi RTS merupakan hal yang bermanfaat dan mudah digunakan, sehingga mereka memiliki sikap positif dan tetap ingin menggunakan RTS untuk memesan tiket kereta api..

The growth of internet with the fast pace now day also benefitting online shopping. One of the products/service that is popular and traded online are electronic ticketing (e-ticketing). The term of e-ticketing is closely associated with public transport service providers (such as airplanes, trains, buses, etc). One of the companies that is implementing e-ticketing technology is PT.Kereta Api Indonesia, which was named Rail Ticket System (RTS) in the year of 2012.One of the reason that PT KAI choose to implement RTS is to improve their quality to the customers. On the other hand this system still has some weaknesses, which makes the community think that the RTS is not optimal and effective. This problem becomes a challenge for PT KAI to improve the performance and usability of the RTS to be more useful, accepted, and used by the community in the long run.
The research of using Structural Equation Modeling to verify Technology Acceptance Model by Davis (1989), and the result delivered that the people of Surabaya has been able to receive the RTS. With the effect value of perceived ease on perceived usefulness is 0.652, the perceived usefulness to attitude toward using is 0.330, the ease of use to attitude toward using is 0.431, and the attitude toward using to behavioral intention to use is 1.181.
The result delivered that the people of Surabaya has been able to receive the RTS implement as an alternative to book train tickets and they considers the RTS application is useful and also easy to use, therefore they have a positive attitude and still want to use RTS to book their train tickets.
