Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan terjadi pada beberapa perusahaan
di Indonesia dalam kaitannya dengan restrukturisasi yang telah dilaksanakan.
Dimana menurut beberapa penelitian sebelumnya, pelaksanaan restrukturisasi
terbukti memberikan dampak positif terutama terhadap kinerja dan produktivitas
pada umumnya. Namun, dampak terhadap kinerja dan produktivitas tidak sematamata
akan mengalami peningkatan secara simultan apabila tidak disertai dengan
keunggulan bersaing perusahaan dalam persaingan di era pasar bebas ini.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh restrukturisasi terhadap
kinerja dan produktivitas secara makro dalam konteks keunggulan bersaing
dengan menggunakan variabel inovasi yang merupakan salah satu pilar
keunggulan bersaing. Hasil penelitian yang telah diolah dengan Structural
Equation Modelling (SEM) menyatakan bahwa restrukturisasi memiliki pengaruh
langsung yang cukup besar terhadap kinerja karyawan (0,86), namun tidak dengan
produktivitas (0,04). Hasil penelitian juga menyatakan bahwa indikator dari
restrukturisasi yang memiliki pengaruh dominan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan
produktivitas yaitu indikator tuntutan pasar (0,92), kontrol formal (0.90), sistem
komunikasi (0,87), dan perubahan kondisi korporasi (0,86). Kemudian dari hasil
penelitian, dilakukan perumusan strategi restrukturisasi yang tepat untuk
direkomendasikan agar perusahaan dapat tetap unggul dalam persaingan, yaitu
dengan menerapkan pendekatan relationship marketing sebagai upaya perbaikan
manajemen dan tanggung jawab hubungan antara perusahaan dan pelanggannya
secara berkelanjutan untuk memperbaiki citra perusahaan yang kemudian akan
berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan dan produktivitas.

This research raises the issue occurs in some companies in Indonesia in
terms of restructuring that has been implemented. According to some previous
studies, the implementation of restructuring proved to have a positive impact
mainly on the performance and productivity in general. However, the impact on
performance and productivity are not solely be increased simultaneously if it is
not accompanied by the company's competitive advantage over the competition in
the global market era. This research aims to determine the influence of
restructuring on performance and productivity from macro views in terms of
competitive advantage by using the innovation variable as one of the pillars of
competitive advantage. Results from Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) states
that restructuring has substantial direct effect on employee performance(0,86), but
not with productivity(0,04). From the result, also known that market demands
(0,92), formal control(0,90), communication systems(0,87), and corporate
transformations(0,86) are indicators of restructuring which has a dominant
influence on employee performance and productivity. Furthermore, appropriate
strategy formulation is generated so that the company could simultaneously
developed and aware of market change as well as being the competition leader,
namely by applying relationship marketing to improve management and
responsibility relationship between the company and its customers on an ongoing
basis to improve the company’s image that would then impact on improving
employee performance and productivity.
