Abstract

MPa. Sedangkan untuk sambungan las memiliki nilai tegangan
pada daerah tarik balok sebesar 287.590 MPa, pada daerah
tekan balok sebesar 287.105 MPa.
rendah.

In design of steel structures, connection should be
designed to be more powerful than the elements which are
conneted, to avoid yielding in connection that caused the
connection failure. In addition to the joint planning, selection of
connection types and elements are used also affects the strength
and behavior of the connection itself. To be expected during the
earthquake, connection did not yielding.
This final project focus studying the behavior of the bolt
joints and weld joints due to cyclic loading with using Finite
Element program. Some parameters of the design plan of the
connection that is using WF and stiffener profiles on the beams
and columns. Then given at the end of the cyclic load beam. The
purpose of this thesis was to determine the effect of cyclic loads
are used to the stress that occurs in connection bolt and the
welded connection.
Based on the analysis, stress value on the bolt connection
in the tensile area for 286.185 MPa, in the pressure area for
286.987 MPa. For welded joints, have a tensile stress values for
287.590 MPa, in the pressure area for 287.105 MPa. Where is,
both connection has passed the yielding limit fy = 250Mpa. From
the comparison of the two connections at the top, with the
provision of the load and the same cross-section, the stronger
connection is bolt connection, because stress value at the bolt
connection lower than the welded connection.
