Abstract

Studi Literatur ini bertujuan merumuskan konsep untuk
memanfaatkan limbah plastik jenis LDPE (Low Density
berkisar 80% sementara LDPE berkisar 60%.

This literature study aims to formulate a concept for the
use of waste plastics LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), HDPE
(High Density Polyethylene) and PP (polypropylene) as fuel,
through methods of pyrolysis. The concept is supported by some
of the theories that the working principle of the cracking of
petroleum, as well as on plastic chemical elements, making it
possible to be used as alternative fuel. In addition to this literature
study also aims to determine the efficiency of LDPE and PP. In this
literature study found that temperature is used for LDPE plastics
pyrolysis ranged between 200-600oC. As for the PP pyrolysis
temperature range between 350 - 600oC. From the results of
pyrolysis between LDPE and PP showed that the PP is more
efficient as a fuel which ranges from 80% while LDPE ranges from
60%. As well as the use of plastic abroad using pyrolysis method
and catalytic craking while in Surabaya using pyrolysis method.
