Abstract

Fabrikasi directional coupler sebagai pembagi daya telah dilakukan.
Directional coupler hasil fabrikasi berstruktur slab dengan substrat berupa kaca
akrilik, film berupa SnO2 nano dan cladding berupa methyl methacrylate (MMA).
Directional coupler hasil fabrikasi memiliki panjang daerah interaksi (Lc) 5 mm,
10 mm dan 15 mm dengan gap (g) 0,353 mm. Penumbuhan film SnO2 dilakukan
dengan mendeposisikan larutan SnO2 pada substrat akrilik. Pada saat yang sama,
pada directional coupler ditanam sebuah fiber optik sebagai input pada saat
karakterisasi. SnO2 yang sudah terdeposisi pada kaca akrilik dilapisi methyl
methacrylate (MMA) dengan metode doctor blade. Directional coupler hasil
fabrikasi digunakan sebagai pembagi daya optis. Directional coupler hasil
fabrikasi dikarakterisasi menggunakan laser He-Ne dengan panjang gelombang
632,8 nm. Karakterisai dilakukan dengan mengambil foto penampang melintang
directional coupler ketika diberi input sinar laser. Foto penampang melintang hasil
karakterisasi directional coupler diolah dengan menggunakan software ImageJ untuk
mengetahui distribusi intensitas directional coupler pada masing-masing port. Dari hasil
karakterisasi tersebut didapatkan nilai persentase output directional coupler dengan Lc 5
mm sebesar 26 %, 24 % dan 49 %.

Directional coupler fabrication as power divider has been conducted.
Structure of directional coupler fabrication yields is slab structure with glass
acrylic as substrate, SnO2 nano as film and methyl methacrylate (MMA) as
cladding. Directional coupler fabrication yield have interaction region (Lc) 5 mm,
10 mm and 15 mm with gap (g) 0,353 mm. The act of growing SnO2 film
conducted by deposisition SnO2 solution at glass acrylic substrate. At the same
time, on the directional coupler planted an optical fiber as the input at
characterization. The SnO2 was deposited on glass acrylic substrate coated methyl
methacrylate (MMA) with doctor balde method. Directional coupler fabrication
yield used as optical power divider. Directional coupler fabrication yield
characterized by used He-Ne laser with 632,8 nm wavelength. Characterization is
conducted by take a picture of cross section of latitude directional coupler when
laser beams input given. Cross section of latitude picture characterization yield
processed by used ImageJ software in order to know intensity distribution
directional coupler at each port. From characterization yield talked about
established output percentage value directional coupler with Lc 5 mm in the
amount of 26 %, 24 % and 49 %.
