Abstract

Spar merupakan jenis floating structure yang dapat digunakan di laut dalam dan
menjadi struktur yang efektif dan dapat diandalkan dari segi konstruksi. Spar
memiliki ciri khas dengan letak titik buoyancy (KB) berada di atas titik gravity (KG)
sehingga memberikan stabilitas yang baik. Spar memiliki kelemahan yaitu rendahnya
damping dan natural period sehingga perlu adanya penambahan heave plate pada
spar platform. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan studi respon dinamis pada spar
platform dengan variasi rasio diameter heave plate dan jarak. Variasi pada rasio
diameter dan jarak untuk mendapatkan kemampuan terbaik spar dalam beroperasi
terutama dalam mengurangi gerakan heave dan memberikan tambahan damping dan
tambahan massa ke arah heave.
Pemodelan struktur dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak untuk
mengetahui respon dinamis spar pada kondisi free floating dan tertambat. Setelah
diperoleh respon dinamis dilakukan komparasi untuk mendapatkan variasi rasio
diameter dan jarak antar heave plate yang terbaik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan
bahwa variasi model yang terbaik di rasio diameter pada variasi 130% dh dengan
nilai spectra respon pada heave 0.97 m dan variasi jarak yang terbaik pada jarak 16
m dengan nilai spectra respon pada heave 0.96 m. ========== SPAR is a type of floating structure which can be used in the deep sea and into the
structure of an effective and reliable in terms of construction. SPAR has a
characteristic with the location of the point of buoyancy (KB) is above the point of
gravity (KG) thus providing good stability. SPAR has the disadvantage of low
damping and natural period so that the need for additional heave plate on a SPAR
platform. At this final project studies the dynamic response of the SPAR platform
with variations of diameter ratio and distance heave plate. Variations on the ratio of
the diameter and the distance to get the best capability SPAR in operating mainly in
reducing the heave movement and provide additional damping and additional mass
toward heave. Structural modeling is done by using software to determine the
dynamic response of the condition of free floating SPAR and moored. Having
obtained the dynamic response of a comparison carried out to obtain the variation
ratio of the diameter and the distance between the plate heave best. These results
indicate that the best model variations in the ratio of the diameter of the variation
130 diameter hull to the value of response spectra at 0.97 m and variations heave the
best distance at a distance of 16 m with a value of response spectra at 0.96 m heave.
