Abstract

Stabilitas tegangan menjadi salah satu faktor yang perlu
dipertimbangkan dalam perencanaan dan operasi sistem tenaga listrik.
Static VAR Compensator (SVC) adalah salah satu peralatan elektronik
solid state yang mampu mengatur transmisi daya listrik secara fleksibel
yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pada
tugas akhir ini dilakukan penentuan lokasi optimal dari SVC
menggunakan metode continuation power flow (CPF) untuk
meningkatkan stabilitas tegangan steady state dengan minimum losses.
Metode tersebut menjelaskan bagaimana stabilitas tegangan
dapat ditingkatkan dengan metode continuation power flow. Kestabilan
tegangan dapat diketahui dari nilai titik kritis. Titik kritis tersebut dapat
digunakan untuk menentukan lokasi SVC. Nilai VAR SVC akan diubahubah
dan dianalisis untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap kestabilan
tegangan dan losses. Dari penempatan SVC, diharapkan stabilitas
tegangan akan meningkat sehingga berpengaruh terhadap berkurangnya
losses.

Voltage stability is one factor to be considered in the planning and
operation of the power system. Static VAR Compensator (SVC) is one
of solid state electronic device that is able to regulate the transmission of
electrical power that can be used flexibly to overcome these problems.
In this final project,optimal location of SVC is determined with using
the method of continuation power flow (CPF) to improve steady state
voltage stability with minimum losses.
The method describes how the voltage stability can be enhanced by
the continuation power flow method. Voltage stability can be known
from the value of the critical point. The critical point can be used to
determine the location of SVC. SVC VAR value will be changed and
analyzed to know effects on the voltage stability and losses. SVC
placement is expected to enhance voltage stability and contributes to
reduce the losses.
