Abstract

EDLC (Electric Double Layer Capacitor) merupakan salah
satu media penyimpanan energy yang menjanjikan karena EDLC
mempunyai kapasitansi yang lebih tinggi daripada kapasitor
konvensional dan juga lebih ramah lingkungan. Pemilihan
material elektroda dan current collector merupakan faktor yang
mempengaruhi nilai kapasitansi dari EDLC. Penelitian ini
menggunakan material Graphene yang dicampur dengan karbon
aktif sebagai Elektroda kerja dan Nickel Foam serta Carbon
Cloth sebagai current collector pada elektroda. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan karbon aktif
dan jenis current collector terhadap sifat kapasitif superkapasitor
berbahan Graphene. Graphene disintesis dengan karbon aktif
menggunakan metode stirrer dengan variasi komposisi karbon
aktif yang berbeda. Sifat kapasitif Elektroda diukur dengan
melakukan uji Cyclic Voltametry (CV) dengan rentang scan rate
5,10,50 dan 100 mV/s. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan
penambahan karbon aktif pada Graphene yang paling optimal
adalah 20%wt dengan nilai kapasitansi sebesar 302.88 F/g.
Diketahui juga bahwa penggunaan Nickel foam sebagai current
collector lebih baik dibanding Carbon Cloth.

EDLC (Electric Double Layer Capacitor) is a promising energy
storage media, because EDLC has a higher capacitance than
conventional capacitors and also better for the environment.
Selection of electrode material and current collector is a factor
that affects the value of the capacitance of EDLC. This study uses
a Graphene material that is added with the activated carbon as a
working electrode and Nickel Foam also Carbon Cloth as a
current collector in the electrode. The purpose of this study is
analyze the effect of the addition of activated carbon and the type
of current collector to the capacitive properties of Graphenebased
supercapacitor. Graphene / activated carbon synthesized
using stirrer methods with a variety of different compositions of
activated carbon. The capacitive properties of electrodes are
measured by Cyclic voltammetry (CV) test with a scan rate range
of 5,10,50 and 100 mV / s. From the results, the most optimal
addition of activated carbon in Graphene is 20% wt with a
capacitance value of 302.88 F / g. Also known that the use of
Nickel Foam as a current collector is better than Carbon Cloth.
