Abstract

Offshore support vessel merupakan kapal yang dirancang secara khusus yang berfungsi sebagai pemasok kebutuhan rig maupun offshore platform seperti bahan makanan, bahan bakar, peralatan dan material penunjang untuk kegiatan operasional offshore, sehingga offshore support vessel membutuhkan alat bantu maneuver. Bow thruster adalah alat bantu yang digunakan untuk menambah gaya dorong atau maneuver, bow thruster dapat digerakkan oleh diesel engine maupun motor elektrik. Dalam penilitian ini merencanakan diesel engine sebagai penggerak bow thruster, dengan gaya dorong yang dibutuhkan 23 kN dan dipilih spesifikasi dengan gaya dorong 32 kN kapal tersebut mempunyai radius turning 99.56 meter pada simulasi peta seakeeping ============================================================================================================= Offshore support vessel is specially designed ships that serve an offshore platform rigs logistics such as groceries, fuel, equipment and material support to their operations in offshore area, so the offshore support vessel requires good equipment for maneuver in restricted area Bow thruster is an equipment that is used to increase thrust or maneuver, bow thrusters can be driven by a diesel engine or electric motor. In this thesis, diesel engine powered bow thruster is used prime mover with the thrust needed of 23 kN and chosen spesification of 32 kN thrust the ship, and the result is has a radius turning 99,56 meters on a simulated map of the seakeeping simulation.
