Abstract

PT.
Proses distribusi
semen curah menggunakan kapal dry-bulk carrier. Komposisi pengadaan kapal
dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kapasitas dan jenis investasinya. Kapasitas
kapal ditentukan berdasarkan draught pelabuhan masing-masing packing plant
dan lead time pemenuhan demand. Sedangkan jenis investasi kapal dilakukan
dengan cara pembelian kapal, kontrak sewa freight based, dan pengerukan
pelabuhan. Sejak tahun 2011 demand semen curah terus mengalami peningkatan
sehingga akan mempengaruhi komposisi kapal. Ketika demand meningkat, maka
kapasitas kapal meningkat. Sistem dinamik digunakan untuk menggambarkan
model komposisi pengadaan kapal dry-bulk carrier di PT. Semen Tonasa
sehingga diperoleh profit terbesar.

PT. Semen Tonasa is the largest cement supplier in eastern Indonesia.
Most of the cement is distributed in bulk to some of the packing plants located
outside South Sulawesi. Distributed process bulk cement using dry-bulk carrier.
Composition of ship procurement based on the capacity and type of investment.
Ship capacity is determined based on their respective draft port of packing plant
and fulfillment lead time of demand. Type of ship investments made by purchase
of ships, freight-based charter, and harbor dredging. Since 2011, the bulk cement
demand continues to increase and will affect the composition of the ship. When
demand increases, the increased vessel capacity. System dynamics model used to
describe the composition of ships in dry-bulk carrier PT. Tonasa in order to obtain
the biggest profit. Results of the study suggested that the presence of escalation /
increase in demand in the packing plant may lead to an increase the capacity of
carrier that can affect the composition of the ship. Investment purchase a larger
capacity carrier are not always generate the biggest profits, but provide a smaller
lead time, as happened in Packing Plant Bali and Bitung. This was due to an
increase in the capacity of the ship followed by investment dredging the harbor
which has huge costs. By contrast, if demand in the packing plant is very high,
causing the sales revenue earned bigger so as to increase profits, as happened in
the Packing Plant Bali.
