Abstract

Kebutuhan akan air bersih adalah prioritas utama bagi kelangsungan hidup manusia dan makhluk hidup lainnya. Maka seawater reverse osmosis merupakan teknologi yang tepat untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Reverse osmosis adalah suatu metode penyaringan yang menggunakan tekanan. Proses tersebut menjadikan zat terlarut terendap di lapisan yang dialiri tekanan sehingga didapat zat pelarut murni. Tetapi semakin lama kemampuan menyaring membran reverse osmosis akan berkurang akibat material yang mengendap. Oleh karena itu, perancangan differential pressure monitoring system untuk menganalisa kemampuan membran reverse osmosis sangat penting. Dalam plan ini digunakan sensor tekanan MPX5700AP, differential pressure sendiri didapat dari selisih antara tekanan inlet dan tekanan outlet (air lolos filter). Dari metode ini didapat rata-rata pembacaan differential pressure dari 5 kali pengambilan data sebagai berikut : data 1,data 2,data 3, data 4, data 5 berurutan adalah 11,36 psig; 11,17 psig; 11,16 psig; 11,28 psig; 11,78 psig. Untuk perawatan membran RO sendiri dilakukan selama 4,2 tahun sekali, didapat dari hasil monitoring differential pressure terhadap membran RO. ===================================================================================================== The need for clean water is a top priority for the survival of humans and other living creatures. So seawater reverse osmosis is a technology that is appropriate to resolve the issue. Reverse osmosis is a filtration method that uses pressure. The process of making the solute deposited in layers flowing pressure in order to get the pure solvent. But the longer the ability to filter reverse osmosis membranes will be reduced due to material buildup. Therefore, the design of the differential pressure monitoring system to analyze the ability of reverse osmosis membranes are essential. In this plan use MPX5700AP pressure sensors, differential pressure itself derived from the difference between the inlet pressure and outlet pressure (water through the filters). This method derived from the average reading of the differential pressure of 5 times the data collection as follows: 1st data, 2nd data, 3rd, 4th, and 5th data are sequentially 5 psig 11.36; 11.17 psig; 11.16 psig; 11.28 psig; 11.78 psig. For the RO membrane treatment itself is conducted for 4.2 years, the results obtained from monitoring the differential pressure of the RO membranes.
