Abstract

Perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga arus laut telah dilakukan di Negara-negara maju sebagai energy alternative yang dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber energy listrik. Indonesia mempunyai potensi sumber terbarukan berlimpah namun masih belum termanfaatkan secara maksimal. Potensi sumber energi terbarukan Indonesia salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan aliran pasang surut air laut (ocean current) sebagai sumber energi penghasil listrik. Pada penulisan tugas akhir akan dikaji secara teknis mengenai perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga arus laut untuk diaplikasikan di Banyuwangi. Kajian meliputi tipe turbin gorlov, Coefisien Lift, Gaya Hidrodinamik, besarnya torsi dan besarnya daya yang dihasilkan dengan memvariasikan ketinggian dari turbin 1,5 m, 2 m, dan 3 m. Hasil yang diperoleh nantinya desain turbin yang menghasilkan daya terbesar yang diaplikasikan di Banyuwangi. Gaya hidrodinamik yang dihasilkan oleh turbin arus laut sebesar 125,96 N dan daya listrik terbesar dihasilkan oleh tipe blade dengan jumlah daun 4 dan ketinggian 3m sebesar 349 Wat
============================================================================================The design of marine current power plants has been done in developed countries as an alternative energy which is used as a source of electrical energy. Indonesia has the potential of renewable resources but still has not been utilized to the fullest. One of potential resources of renewable energy is the use the flow of the tide (ocean tidal current) as an energy source of electricity. In this study assessed technically about the design of marine current power plant that can be applicated in Banyuwangi. In this study included the type of gorlov turbine, lift coefisien, hydrodynamic force, rate of torque and torsion, also the rate of power that were produced with variated the elevation from the turbine from 1,5 m, 2 m and 3 m. The results obtained design turbines that generate the greatest power that is applied in banyuwangi. hydrodynamic force was produced 125,96 N from ocean current turbine and biggest power were produced by blade type that have 4 blades and the elevation was 3 m which was 349 watt.
