Abstract

Air limbah yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan peternakan sapi perah dengan diversivikasi industri tahu memiliki karakteristik air limbah dengan kandungan organik yang tinggi. Kualitas air limbah kegiatan peternakan sapi diketahui mencapai 1605,24 mgBOD/L, 4134,35 mgCOD/L, dan TSS sebesar 1170 mg/L. Kualitas air limbah untuk kegiatan industri tahu diketahui sebesar 2387,06 mg/L untuk BOD5 dan COD sebesar 4204,2 mg/L, serta TSS sebesar 240 mg/L. Melihat karakteristik tersebut diperlukan pengolahan air limbah (PAL) agar air limbah yang dibuang ke badan air memenuhi baku mutu. Dalam merencanakan instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL) perlu diketahui karakteristik limbah yang sampelnya diambil dari lokasi peternakan sapi perah di Krian, Sidoarjo. Selain karakteristik, perlu diketahui pula kondisi eksisting dari objek perencanaan seperti kontur dan luas lahan. Alternatif pengolahan pada perencanaan ini adalah anaerobik digester dan upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB). Pada perencanaan ini, alternatif terpilih yang direncanakan secara detail adalah pengolahan dengan upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) dan kombinasi anaerobic aerobic filter. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, luas lahan yang dibutuhkan untuk perencanaan IPAL adalah 297 m2. Luas lahan tersebut juga termasuk pengolahan lumpur dan bak ekualisasi sebagai penunjang pengolahan. Biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun instalasi pengolahan air limbah sesuai perencanaan sebesar Rp1.663.183.000. ==================================================================================================== Wastewater which generated from dairy farm with industry diversification has wastewater characteristics contain high organic content. Moreover, the quality of waste water for tofu industrial activities reached 2387.06 mg/L for BOD5, 4204.2 mg/L for COD, and 240 mg/L for TSS. Based on these characteristics, it is essential to has wastewater treatment plant in order to make the wastewater meet environmental quality standards. In planning a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), it essential to know the wastewater qualities taken from dairy farm which located in Krian, Sidoarjo. It also need to know the existing condition of the object of land contours and area. Then determined the treatment alternatives were anaerobic digester and up flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB). In this study, the selected alternative treatments which planned in detail were the treatment with an up flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) and anaerobic aerobic filter combination. Based on the calculations, the area of land required for WWTP was 297 m2. These lands were also included sludge treatment and equalization basin as supporting processing. The costs needed to build the wastewater treatment plant reached Rp1.663.183.000
