Abstract

System SRP merupakan salah satu alat propulsi kapal yang sekaligus alat untuk untuk membantu maneuvering kapal. Pada system SRP ini memiliki mahal harga yang sangat mahal untuk dipasang dikapal. Kemampuan maneuvering kapal sangat dibutuhkan pada pelayaran sempit seperti saat memasuki pelabuhan. Alat penunjang manouevering kapal yang lain adalah Bow Thruster, yang memiliki harga lebih murah untuk dipasang dikapal. Inti dari skripsi ini adalah perbandingan pemilihan Bow Thruster dan Sistem SRP untuk kebutuhan maneuvering tug boat. Dimana dapat dipilih Bow Thruster dengan kemampuan radius putar 11.7 meter, dan Bow Thruster leih murah dari pada Sistem SRP ================================================================================================== Steerable rudder propeller (SRP) System is one of the equipment in ship to help maneuvering. SRP System is very expensive to be mounted on a ship such as a tugboat. Which a good maneuvering capability is necessary on narrow water when entering a harbour. Another equipment for maneuvering is Bow Thruster. Which it has cheaper if mounted on the boat. the main topic of this thesis is comparison between applied for a selection Bow Thruster and SRP System on the tugboat. Where Bow Thruster can be selected with turning radius 11.7 meters, and Bow Thruster is cheaper than SRP System
