Abstract

Kebutuhan akan energi listrik terus mengalami peningkatan sampai saat ini, sehingga banyak perusahaan pembangkit listrik berkembang guna memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Salah satu dari pembangkit listrik tersebut adalah Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU) Grati. PLTGU Grati memiliki dua buah jetty sebagai kanal water intake yang berfungsi sebagai pintu masuk air laut yang dipompa dari Selat Madura menuju steam turbin pendingin mesin. Pengendapan material sedimen di sekitar kanal water intake mempengaruhi jumlah aliran air yang masuk menuju mesin pendingin, sehingga hampir setiap tahunnya diadakan pengerukan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, kanal mengalami pendangkalan sehingga dapat menyebabkan terganggunya proses pendinginan sistem karena debit aliran berkurang akibat dari pendangkalan. Untuk mengetahui laju pendangkalan, maka dilakukan perhitungan dengan bantuan program surfer 12 dan mike 21. Hasil perhitungan akumulasi volume sedimen yang diperoleh dari beberapa kondisi yang dipengaruhi oleh pure current dan wave current. Akumulasi volume sedimentasi yang diperoleh pada kondisi pure current dan wave current brturut-turut sebesar 35.698 m3 dan 7375.818 m3

Electrical energy needs have increased until now, so many power companies are going to expand to meet those needs. One of those power plants is Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU) Grati. Grati power plants has two jetties as the canal water intake which used as the entrance of the pumped sea water from madura strait to the steam turbine engine coolant. Sedimentary material deposition around the canal water intake affects the amount of incoming water flow to the engine coolant, so dreging almost be held for often. Over the time, the cannel intake goes to be silted, that caused a disturbance as the reducing of water flow rate in the cooling system. To determine the rate of siltation, the observed with mike 21 and surfer 12. The calculation result of sediments accumulated volume obtained from several conditions which influenced by the pure current and wave current. Accumulated sediment volume obtained in pure current and wave current condition are 35.698 m3 for pure current and 7375.818 m3 for wave and current
