Abstract

Karakteristik geokimia organik fraksi polar batubara PIT
Bintang BD-MD Sangatta Kalimantan Timur telah dilakukan
dengan KG-SM. Hasil interpretasi kromatogram KG-SM
menunjukkan bahwa senyawa yang didapatkan adalah n-alkana
(C14-C33), alkana bercabang pristan (C19) dan fitan (C20), bisiklik
seskiterpen (kadinana, drimana, homodrimana), triterpen (Hopan
C29-C31) . Pada fraksi aromatik dapat disimpulkan bahwa senyawa
biomarka yang terkandung didalamnya adalah seri naftalena
(metil naftalena hingga trimetil naftalena), seri fenantrena
(dimetil fenantrena hingga trimetil fenantrena), kadalena,
norkadalena, retena dan metil retena, serta pisena. Senyawa
tersebut memberikan informasi bahwa penyusun batubara ini
didominasi oleh tumbuhan tingkat tinggi angiospermae
khususnya famili Depterocarpaceae yang mulai terbentuk pada
zaman Miosen dengan lingkungan pengendapan yang oksidatif
dan menghasilkan batubara dengan kematangan yang rendah

Characteristic organic geochemistry polar fraction of PIT
Bintang BD-MD Sangatta's coal in East Kalimantan has been
done with the GC-MS. The interpreted result of GC-MS’s
chromatogram showed that the obtained compounds were nalkanes
(C14-C33), branched alkanespristane (C19) and phytan (C20),
bicyclicsesquiterperns (cadinan, driman, homodriman), and
triterpens (Hopane C29-C31) for aliphatic fraction. Whereas in
aromatic fraction, it can be concluded that the biomarka
compound contained inside the coal were naphthalene series
(methyl naphthalene until trimethylnaphtalene), phenantrenes
series (dimethylphenantrene until trimethylphenantrene), cadalene,
norcadalene, retene and methyl retene, and pisene. Those
compounds provided information that a constituent of coal was
dominated by higher plants angiosperm especially family of
Depterocarpaceae that starts to formed in Miocene epoch with
oxidative deposition environment and produces a coal with low
maturity
