Abstract

Pentingnya menjaga keamanan dalam pertukaran data di internet merupakan sebuah keharusan di era teknologi dan internet yang semakin maju. Tidak semua data yang diunggah ke internet adalah untuk khalayak umum. Untuk itu dibuat berbagai usaha untuk mengamankan data dengan cara menyandikan data. Sistem chaos, yaitu sistem yang dapat menghasilkan barisan bilangan pseudo-random karena kepekaan sistem tersebut terhadap suatu parameter, sering digunakan sebagai dasar algoritma enkripsi karena alasan tersebut. Meskipun teknologi enkripsi bisa dibilang sangat maju, namun hal tersebut kurang cocok untuk diaplikasikan pada enkripsi citra. Dalam buku Tugas Akhir ini akan dibahas mengenai pemanfaatan 2 chaotic map, yaitu Arnold's Cat Map dan Logistic Map untuk membuat sebuah skema enkripsi citra yang baru. Dari hasil uji coba terhadap enam citra uji yang digunakan, didapatkan bahwa Arnold's Cat Map dan Logistic Map dapat diimplementasikan pada skema enkripsi citra. Skema enkripsi tersebut memiliki kinerja yang cukup baik dengan pembuktian hasil perbandingan histogram dan perhitungan MSE-PSNR, serta cukup aman karena besarnya ruang kunci yang dihasilkan dan kepekaan seluruh parameter kunci terhadap citra terenkripsi yang dihasilkan.

The importance of secure data exchange throughout the internet is an absolute must as the advancement of the internet and its technology has grown exponentially since its initial development. Data that is stored on the internet is not always for public consumption, hence efforts to make those private data secured is necessary. Chaotic system or chaotic map, a system which is able to generate a series of pseudo-random numbers because of its nature of sensitivity towards its parameter, is often used as an encryption algorithm fundamental for said reason. Despite the advanced encryption technology we currently have, however its application in image encryption is said to be not suitable. This thesis attempts to develop a novel image encryption scheme using implementation of 2 chaotic maps, Arnold's Cat Map and Logistic Map. Based on the test attempted on six test images, it can be shown that Arnold's Cat Map and Logistic Map can be applied on an image encryption scheme. The novel encryption scheme developed has an adequate performance result proven by histogram comparison and MSE-PSNR calculation, and is secure enough to withstand brute-force attack as the key space is large enough and sensitivity of its encryption keys.
