Abstract

Arcing seri hingga kini masih menjadi gangguan yang sulit diatasi perangkat proteksi konvensional yang tersedia dalam instalasi gedung atau rumah seperti fuse dan circuit breaker karena durasi terjadinya yang sangat singkat, dan nilai arus yang dibatasi nilai arus beban. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan karakterisasi dan deteksi gangguan arcing seri pada sisi beban dan sisi penyulangnya dengan variasi pembebanan dan harmonisa. Karakterisasi dilakukan dengan mengamati perubahan gelombang dan nilai arus terhadap variasi beban dan harmonisa menggunakan NI 9246, kemudian diolah melalui DIAdem. Pendeteksian dengan menerapkan metode Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) pada alat deteksi arcing seri. Alat kemudian memindai magnitudo sinyal pada frekuensi 240-260Hz, 390-410Hz, dan 490-510Hz untuk mendeteksi gangguan. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa gangguan arcing seri yang terjadi pada sisi beban mempengaruhi gelombang arus pada sisi sumbernya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, diketahui bahwa pembebanan berpengaruh terhadap besarnya arus puncak arcing seri, sedangkan harmonisa berpengaruh terhadap rasio arus arcing dan nilai RMS arus beban.

Arcing is still a challenging phenomenon to be solved using conventional protection devices available at standard building or home installation, such as fuse or circuit breaker. Its short duration, along with the amount of current limited by rated load current, caused this problem. This research tried to characterize and detect series arcing on load and source feeder with load and harmonic variation. Characterization was done by observing changes on the current waveform due to loading and harmonic variation using NI 9246 and DIAdem software. Detection was done by implementing Fast Fourier Transform method on the detection device. The device will then scan the frequencies of 240-260Hz, 390-410Hz, and 490-510Hz to detect the fault. This research proved that series arcing fault happening on load side affects the current waveform of its source. Through the experiment, it is known that load variation affects the peak value of series arc fault, while harmonic affects the ratio of arc current to its RMS current.
