Abstract

Majapahit dikenal sebagai kerajaan terbesar yang pernah menguasai hampir seluruh Asia Tenggara. Oleh karena itu pada tanggal 20 – 22 November 2014, Sekretariat Daerah Provinsi Jawa Timur, dalam Rakor Pelestarian Seni Budaya Jawa Timur, menyusun sebuah strategi untuk mengangkat kekayaan budaya lokal tersebut melalui film animasi. Perancangan ini menggunakan teknik sampling: secara geografis, bertempat tinggal di Indonesia yang terjangkau sinyal televisi analog; secara demogrfis, berusia antara 13-17 tahun, pendidikan SMP - SMA; secara psikografis, suka petualangan, suka nonton TV, tidak memiliki ketertarikan pada sejarah. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pengumpulan data secara kualitatif dengan data primer berupa literaturliteratur ilmiah dan pakar animasi serta pakar sejarah. Dan data sekunder berupa studi eksisting berdasarkan film-film lokal Indonesia, literatur dan teori-teori terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk membuat karakter animasi yang unik berlatarbelakang sejarah, tidak cukup dengan mencontoh data sejarah yang ada namun perlu dimodifikasi sesuai dengan tren yang ada saat ini baik dari bentuk tubuh, pakaian dan warna secara keseluruhan tanpa menghilangkan ciri khas berdasarkan data sejarah yang ada. ============================================================================================================= Majapahit is known as the biggest kingdom which almost ruled the whole South East Asia, because of this, The Regional Secretariat of East Java established a strategy to bring local cultural heritage up through animated film in the event of coordinated meeting of East Java Cultural Art Preservation on 20th – 22th November 2014. The designing uses sampling technique: geographically, people who live in Indonesia and have analog television signal nearby; demographically, ranged from 13 to 17 years old, Junior and Senior High School Graduate; Psychographic, adventure enthusiasts, television enthusiasts, people who have no interest at all on history. On the other hand, the data collection method uses qualitative technique to do the job by using primary data in the form of scientific literatures, animation and history experts and Secondary data based on the existing studies from Indonesian local films, literatures and related theories. The research result shows that in order to make a unique animation character with historical background, the copying of existing historical data itself is not enough, the historical data need to be modified, so that it will be suitable with the current trends that exist today like body shapes, clothes and overall color without erasing the characteristics based on the existing historical data.
