Abstract

UKM Empoe kayoe merupakan salah satu UKM yang bergerak dibidang kerajian kayu.UKM memproduksi kerajinan yang berbahan dasar kayu seperti kursi, meja, pigora dsb.Adapun tahapan dalam mendapatkan suatu produk yaitu pertama pelepasan kayu dari pallet kayu yang kedua yaitu pengukuran dan pemotongan yang ketiga yaitu perakitan kemudian yang terakhir proses finishing. Selama ini proses proses pemotongan dan pengukuran masih manual yaitu untuk pengukuran masih menggunakan meteran atau penggaris dan untuk pemotongan masih menggunakan gerinda tangan sehingga presisi serta keseragaman antar benda kerja tidak terjamin. Oleh karena itu dibuat suatu Mesin pemotong kayu yang lebih efisien agar dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan K3 di UKM empoe kayoe.Dari hasil perhitungan dan observasi, dibutuhkan putaran 2850 rpm dan motor AC 1,5 HP, menggunakan poros berdiameter 30 mm dengan bahan S45C dan Circular Saw diameter 30 cm,menggunakan puli dengan diameter luar 76,2 mm dan V-belt tipe A, penggunakan pasak dengan bahan S30C, gaya potong 19,8N dan Torsi sebesar 2970 Nmm ============================================================================================ UKM Empoe kayoe is one of UKM which engaged in woodcrafting such as chair, table, vigora, etc. First step to make woodcraft is taking the wood down, one by one, from the wood pallet. After that, measure and cut the wood based as necessary then assemble it and the last is finishing. Heretofore, the measuring and cutting process was done manually by using ruler and hand grinder. Thus, the precison and uniformity are not well guaranteed. Therefore, adjustable wood cutting machine was designed with purpose of improving efficiency, productivity and safety in UKM Empoe Kayoe. From the approximate calculation and observation, obtained the amount of motor rotation is 2850 rpm from AC motor with power of 1,5HP, using S45C shaft with 30 mm diameter, 30 cm circular saw, pulley with 76,2 mm outer diameter, type A V-belt, S30C peg, produced cutting force by 19,8N and torque 2970Nmm
