Abstract

Untuk mendukung teknologi 5G dalam memberikan layanan data kecepatan tinggi diperlukan large scale array yang menggunakan antena dalam jumlah banyak untuk mengarahkan pola radiasi ke user tertentu. Teknologi beamforming pada teknologi telekomunikasi sebelumnya menggunakan metode full digital beamforming yang tentu tidak cocok jika diterapkan pada teknologi telekomunikasi 5G. Hal ini disebabkan karena metode full digital beamforming membutuhkan satu buah RF chain tiap antena yang tentu akan menyebabkan peningkatan biaya dan peningkatan konsumsi daya dari komponen RF chain pada frekuensi yang tinggi. Pada tugas akhir ini digunakan metode hybrid beamforming yang mana mampu mengurangi jumlah penggunaan dari RF chain. Pada tugas akhir ini digunakan sistem multiuser MISO dengan tujuan untuk menguji kinerja metode hybrid beamforming pada sistem antena tersebut. Kanal yang digunakan dalam pengujian kinerja dari metode hybrid beamforming adalah kanal independent rayleigh fading dan uniformly random line-of-sight. Dalam menganalisa kinerja dari metode hybrid beamforming akan digunakan parameter spectral efficiency versus signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Dari hasil analisa didapatkan bahwa metode HB memiliki rata-rata kinerja SE lebih baik pada kanal IRF dibanding pada kanal URLOS. Kinerja tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan pengujian pada SNR 0 dB hingga 30 dB, rata-rata kinerja dari metode HB pada kanal IRF sebesar 17,4758 bits/s/Hz sedangkan pada kanal URLOS sebesar 12,3334 bits/s/Hz. Kata Kunci: Hybrid Beamforming, Multiuser MISO Antena, Independent Rayleigh Fading, UR-LoS, Spectral Efficiency, Signal-to -Noise Ratio (SNR). ==================================================================================================================== To support 5G technology in providing high speed data services, a large scale array is needed that uses large amounts of antenna to direct the radiation pattern to a particular user. The beamforming technology in the previous telecommunications technology uses the full digital beamforming method which is certainly not suitable if applied to the 5G telecommunications technology. This is because the full digital beamforming method requires one RF chain per antenna which will certainly cause increased costs and increased power consumption of RF chain components at high frequencies. This final project uses hybrid beamforming method which is able to reduce the amount of use of the RF chain. In this final project the MISO multiuser system is used with the aim to test the performance of the hybrid beamforming method on the antenna system. The canals used in testing the performance of the hybrid beamforming method are independent rayleigh fading channels and uniformly random line-of-sight. In analyzing the performance of the hybrid beamforming method the parameters of spectral efficiency versus signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) will be used. From the analysis it was found that the HB method has an average SE performance better on IRF channels than on URLOS channels. This performance can be proven by testing at SNR 0 dB to 30 dB, the average performance of the HB method on IRF channels is 17.4758 bits / s / Hz while on URLOS channels it is 12.3334 bits / s / Hz.
