Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan ekonomi, setiap industri harus melakukan peningkatan secara bertahap dan berkelanjutan terhadap kapasitas produksi agar mampu bersaing di era globalisasi saat ini. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, terdapat berbagai hal yang harus selalu ditingkatkan, termasuk peralatan dan mesin pendukung proses industri. Sehingga suatu industri dalam operasionalnya juga membutuhkan peningkatan konsumsi energi listrik. Seiring penigkatan kebutuhan listrik dan penambahan beban, maka industri membutuhkan sistem kelistrikan baru yang perlu diintegrasikan pada sistem kelistrikan yang telah ada. Untuk mengintegrasikan sistem baru ke dalam sistem yang telah ada, terdapat beberapa opsi yang dapat digunakan. Dimana setiap opsi tersebut memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan baik dalam segi keandalan, ekonomi, maupun biaya investasi. Dalam tugas akhir ini akan dibahas analisis perbandingan metode dalam mengintegrasikan power system island dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa faktor. Faktor-faktor yang dibandingkan diantaranya yaitu keandalan, besar rugi-rugi aliran daya, nilai ketahanan peralatan, fleksibilitas operasi, dan modal investasi. Pada penelitian ini dipilih sistem kelistrikan PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur yang merupakan perusahaan besar petrokimia di Indonesia sebagai objek observasi dalam membandingkan metode integrasi power system island. Sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam penentuan metode integrasi power system island yang handal, ekonomis, dan memiliki fleksibilitas operasi. =========================================================== Along with economic growth, each industry must expanding production to be able to compete in the era of globalization. In line with this, there are various things that must be added, including equipment and machinery that support industrial processes. Requiring an industry in its operations also requires an increase in electricity consumption. For increasing electricity and load requirements, the industry needs a new electricity system that needs to be integrated in the existing electricity system. To integrate a new system into an existing system, several options are available that can be used. Where each option supports this has advantages and disadvantages in terms of reliability, economy, and investment costs. In this final project, will be analyzed method to integrating power system island in the main system and will be discussed by considering several factors. Factors to be compared are reliability, power losses, equipment capability, flexibility of operation, and investment capital cost. In this study, the electrical system PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur which is a large petrochemical company in Indonesia as an object of observation in comparing power system island integration methods. So that it is expected to be a reference in determining the island power system integration method that is reliable, economical, and has flexibility of operation.
