Abstract

Kolom distilasi konvensional yang digunakan di industri saat ini merupakan salah satu peralatan yang membutuhkan penggunaan energi yang tinggi di kondenser dan reboiler nya, oleh karena itu diperlukan optimisasi kolom distilasi Petlyuk dengan metode yang tepat. Penelitian pada tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang kolom distilasi Petlyuk berdasarkan metode shortcut, modifikasi shortcut, dan VLE. Masing-masing dari ketiga metode tersebut digunakan untuk menentukan parameter desain kolom distilasi seperti letak optimal feed tray, jumlah tray, dan actual reflux ratio, serta perhitungan Total Annual Cost (TAC). Algoritma optimisasi stokastik yang digunakan yaitu Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Genetic Algorithm (GA), dan Duelist Algorithm (DA). Melalui hasil yang telah didapatkan, perancangan kolom distilasi Petlyuk menggunakan metode short cut, modifikasi metode short cut, dan VLE berturut-turut dapat mengurangi TAC 16,37%, 19,82%, 26,54% per tahun. Sehingga hasil yang paling baik ditunjukkan oleh metode VLE yang kemudian di optimisasi menggunakan GA, ICA, PSO, dan DA berturut-turut dapat mengurangi TAC sebesar 48,66%, 42,31%, 37,92%, dan 46,62% per tahun dari desain kolom distilasi konvensional. Menurut hasil perhitungan tersebut, metode VLE yang dioptimisasi GA dapat mengurangi TAC paling besar.================================================================================================================ The conventional distillation column in industrial plant is one of the equipment that requires high energy usage in the condenser and reboiler, so it is necessary to optimize the distillation column using the right method. Research on this final project aims to design the Petlyuk distillation column based on shortcut method, shortcut modification, and VLE. Each of the three methods is used to determine the distillation column design parameters such as the number of trays, the optimal feed tray, and the actual reflux ratio, as well as the calculation of Total Annual Cost (TAC). The best results of the three methods are optimized using stochastic optimization algorithms, namely Genetic Algorithm (GA), Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Duelist Algorithm (DA). Through the results obtained, the design of the Petlyuk distillation column using the short cut method, short cut modification method, and VLE can reduce TAC by 16,37%, 19,82%, 26,54%per year. So the best result shown by VLE method which then in optimization using GA, ICA, PSO, and DA can reduce TAC by 48,66%, 42,31%, 37,92%, and 46,62% years from conventional distillation column design. According to these calculations, GA-optimized VLE method can reduce the largest TAC.
