Abstract

Minyak dan gas masih berkontribusi besar dalam pasokan energi dunia. Drilling merupakan suatu proses untuk memproduksi minyak dan gas dalam bumi. Salah satu parameter yang diperhatikan terpenting dalam drilling adalah laju penetrasi atau rate of penetration (ROP). Dalam operasi drilling, drilling mud memiliki peran penting, salah satunya adalah menjaga kestabilan tekanan sumur. Mud dapat digunakan berulang kali setelah proses filtrasi. Ketidaksempurnaan filtrasi menyebabkan gangguan berupa perubahan massa jenis mud. Perubahan massa jenis mud dapat mempengaruhi performa drilling itu sendiri. Optimisasi dan sistem kontrol pada drilling digunakan bertujuan untuk mencapat laju penetrasi yang optimal. Optimisasi dilakukan pada 4 variabel yaitu mud flow rate, rotary speed, weight on bit, dan pressure choke. Pada penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah genetic algorithm. Validasi dari algoritma GA dilakukan dengan menggunakan suatu fungsi benchmark, dimana nilai optimumnya telah diketahui.. Didapat bahwa optimisasi dapat mencapai nilai optimum sebesar 30,35. Didapat nilai Optimisasi pada mud 1400 , 1401 , 1403 , dan 1405 Kg⁄m^3 adalah 4,64 ; 4,63; 4,62 dan 4,61 m/ jam Didapat juga bahwa penggunaan PID pada sistem mampu mengatasi perubahan tekanan akibat perubahan massa jenis mud ================================================== Oil and gas are still contributing towars world’s energy supply. Drilling is a process for producing oil from beneath the earth’s surface. One of parameter when drilling is the rate of penetration. An important factor which influence ROP is the drilling mud. Drilling mud is use to stabilize the well’s pressure. Mud can be used repeteadly, however the imperfection on the filtration system could lead to change in the mud density. This change could affect the drilling performance. Optimization and control system is done to ensure optimum rate of penetration.Optimization is use on 4 variable which are mud flow rate, rotary speed, weight on bit, and pressure choke.In this research , genetic algorithm is used for optimization. Validation for genetic algorithm is done with benchmark function in which the optimum value is already known. Optimization towards benchmark function is done to see if genetic algorithm could reach the optimum value. Genetic algorithm could reach the optimum value of the benchmark function which is 30,35. Variation value of mutation probability and crossover probability is done, and genetic algorithm could reach the optimum value.The result for optimization on mud with density of 1400 , 1401 , 1403 , and 1405 Kg⁄m^3 are 4,64 , 4,63, 4,62, dan 4,61 m/hour.It is also found that using PID in the system could overcome the disturbance of changes in the mud
