In general, investments that are often used in Indonesia are capital market investments. The Indonesian capital market has an important role in developing the country's economy and being a provider of capital for business people. The phenomenon of market crashes in the Indonesian capital market that causes a significant decline in share prices needs to be highlighted regarding the importance of understanding the role of individual investors as key market players in investment decision making. Empirical studies prove that one of the factors that causes market crashes in the capital market is the behavior bias of individual investors. The purpose of this study is to look at how the level of financial literacy and investor demographic variables are related to behavior bias in the Indonesian capital market. The findings are based on data collected through a survey of 447 individual investors. Factor Analysis, ANOVA, and Multiple linear regression methods are used to answer the research hypotheses. The results showed financial literacy and demographic characteristics had a significant influence on four of the eight variables of individual investor behavior bias in the Indonesian capital market. The findings of this study have serious implications for investors to understand themselves, so they can anticipate behavior bias in investment decision making. In addition, issuers can find out the general behavior patterns of individual investors in the Indonesian Capital Market.
