Abstract

Telah dibuat kompor yang berdesain generator HHO tipe dry cell yang dapat memproduksi gas HHO serta memanfaatkannya untuk bahan bakar kompor. Produksi gas HHO menggunakan konsep elektrolisis air. Konsep elektrolisis air menggunakan generator HHO, dimana elektroda – elektroda penyusun generator tersebut akan dialiri listrik sebesar 24V 20A yang membuat molekul air akan terpecah. Pada elektroda katoda menghasilkan gas hidrogen sementara elektroda anoda menghasilkan gas Oksigen dan air kembali. Proses pemecahan air yang kembali membentuk air lagi, menghasilkan suatu gas yaitu gas HHO. Tugas Akhir ini menggunakan variasi konsentrasi molaritas larutan sebesar 0,5 M, 1,0 M, dan 1,5 M. Data yang diperoleh berupa tekanan output gas, temperatur api, serta ketinggian api. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, konsentrasi larutan 1,5 M yang paling optimal untuk dijadikan bahan penghasil gas HHO sebagai bahan bakar kompor dengan menghasilkan temperatur api sebesar (219,00±0,01)oC dengan ketinggian sebesar (3,0±0,5) cm.

Research on the manufacture of stoves that are designed for dry cell HHO generators that can produce HHO gas and use it as a fuel. HHO gas production uses the concept of water electrolysis. The concept is using HHO generators, where the electrodes of generator will be charged at 24V 20A, which makes the water molecules split. At the cathode electrodes produce hydrogen gas and the anode electrodes produce oxygen gas and water again. From the process of separating water which remake water again, produces gas which is a HHO gas. These research use variety molarity concentration are 0.5 M, 1,0 M, and 1.5 M. Data obtained such as gas pressure, flame temperature, and flame height. Based on the research has been done, the concentration of 1.5 M is the most optimal to be used as an ingredient of HHO gas as a fuel stove that produce flame temperature of (219,00±0,01)oC with the height of (3,0±0,5) cm.
