Abstract

Pusat Gempa Nasional (PusGeN) (2017) menyatakan bahwa Jawa Timur dilalui oleh beberapa patahan aktif yang memanjang hingga ke arah Bali dan Flores. Penelitian magnetotelurik dilakukan untuk memetakan struktur patahan pada daerah Jawa Timur bagian barat. Kelebihan metode magnetotelurik memiliki penetrasi yang dalam karena bergerak dalam frekuensi rendah sehingga mampu mendeteksi adanya anomaly resistivitas yang diduga sebagai patahan. Lintasan pengukuran metode magnetotelurik membentang meliputi daerah: Lamongan, Gresik, dan Mojokerto. Hasil pengukuran magnetotelurik berupa kurva impedansi TE dan TM yang kemudian akan dilakukan editting dan smoothing serta diexport dalam format edi. Pada penelitian ini juga membahas sensitivitas dari mode TE, mode TM dan mode TE-TM yang dimodelkan 2D menggunakan inversi Non-Linear Conjugate Gradient (NLCG). Hasil interpretasi didapatkan terdapatnya struktur patahan yang ditandai dengan adanya kontras resistivitas (30-250 ohm.m) yang memiliki trend arah NE-SW. Hasil pengolahan data dengan menggunakan mode TE memiliki sensitivitas yang baik dalam memetakan resistivitas secara lateral. Hasil pengolahan data dengan mode TM memiliki sensitivitas yang baik dalam memetakan resistivitas secara vertikal. Adapun mode TE-TM memiliki sensitivitas yang baik dalam memetakan kontras nilai resistivitas secara lateral mapupun secara vertikal. ================================================================================ The National Earthquake Center (PusGeN) (2017) states that East Java is traversed by several active faults that extends towards Bali and Flores. Magnetoteluric research was conducted to map the faulting structures in the West East Java area. Excess Magnetoteluric method has deep penetration because it moves in low frequencies so as to detect the presence of suspected anomaly resistivity as faulting. The line of measurement of magnetoteluric method extends covering the areas: Lamongan, Gresik, and Mojokerto. The results of magnetoteluric measurements in the form of the TE and TM impedance curve will then be editting and smoothing and export in EDI format. In this study also discussed the sensitivity of the TE mode, TM mode and TE-TM mode which is modeled on 2D using Non-Linear Conjugate Gradient (NLCG) inversion. The interpretation is obtained by a fault structure that is characterized by the presence of contrast resistivity (30-250 ohm. m) which has a trend of NE-SW direction. The results of the data processing using the TE mode have a good sensitivity in the lateral mapping of the resistivity. The result of data processing with TM mode has a good sensitivity in mapping the resistivity vertically. The TE-TM mode has good sensitivity in mapping the contrast of the lateral resistivity value vertically.
