Abstract

Biogas merupakan bahan bakar terbarukan yang dapat digunakan untuk menghadapi kebutuhan energi yang terus meningkat. Biogas dimurnikan dengan metode karbonasi menggunakan larutan Ca(OH)2 dari limbah asetilena untuk menghasilkan produk yaitu biometan serta precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC). Proses terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu tahap pretreatment biogas mentah untuk menghilangkan kandungan H2S, tahap pretreatment limbah asetilena untuk membentuk larutan Ca(OH)2, tahap karbonasi biogas dengan larutan Ca(OH)2, tahap posttreatment biometana untuk memurnikan biometana, dan tahap posttreatment PCC untuk memurnikan PCC. Berdasarkan perhitungan neraca massa, dari bahan mentah biogas 1183 kg/jam dan limbah asetilena 1027/jam didapatkan CBG 459 kg/jam atau 8712 ton/tahun serta PCC 11659 kg/jam atau 12458,18 ton/tahun. Dari perhitungan analisa ekonomi, didapatkan TCI sebesar Rp.109.611.546.902, IRR sebesar 20,43% per tahun, POT selama 2,3 tahun, serta BEP sebanyak 22,94%, sehingga dari segi teknis maupun ekonomis pabrik purifikasi biogas layak didirikan. ========================================================= Biogas is a renewable fuel that can be used to deal with increasing energy needs. Biogas is purified by the carbonation method using a solution of Ca (OH) 2 from acetylene waste to produce products, namely biomethane and precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC). The process consists of five stages, first the raw biogas pretreatment stage to remove H2S content, the acetylene waste pretreatment stage to form a Ca(OH)2 solution, the biogas carbonation stage with Ca(OH)2 solution, the posttreatment stage for biomethane to purify biomethane, and the posttreatment stage for PCC to purify PCC. Based on the mass balance calculation, from the raw material of biogas 1183 kg / hour and acetylene waste 1027 / hour obtained CBG 459 kg / hour or 8712 tons / year and PCC 11659 kg / hour or 12458.18 tons / year. From the calculation of the economic analysis, it is found that the TCI is Rp.109,611,546,902, an IRR of 20.43% per year, a POT for 2.3 years, and a BEP of 22.94%, so that from a technical and economic point of view the biogas purification plant is feasible to establish.
