Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara maritime dengan wilayah laut yang sangat luas. Laut Indonesia banyak menyimpan potensi alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kesejahteraan bangsa ini, antara lain adalah garam. Garam rakyat memiliki kandungan NaCl yang beragam. Kandungan NaCl yang tinggi membuat harga garam semakin meningkat. Dengan kandungan NaCl sekitar 93 % garam rakyat dari Sumenep dapat ditingkatkan NaCl nya hingga 99,5% menjadi garam farmasi dengan nilai jual lebih tinggi. Pemurnian garam rakyat dapat dilakukan dengan metode vacuum pan dengan single effect evaporator. Stage awal pemurnian adalah pengendapan pengotor dengan bantuan zat additive berupa caustic soda, barium chloride dan soda ash. Setelah proses pengendapan larutan garam di re-kristalisasi dengan vacuum pan sehingga didapatkan Kristal-kristal garam yang lebih murni. Kristal garam kemudian dikeringkan dengan dryer dan disaring untuk mendapat ukuran yang seragam. Produk jadi kemudian dikemas dan dipasarkan. Kapasitas produksi pabrik sebesar 35.000 ton/tahun dan bahan baku yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 35.959,0402 ton/tahun atau 4.540,2829 kg/jam. Pabrik beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 24 jam/hari, 330 hari operasi/tahun. Pendirian pabrik garam farmasi memerlukan biaya investasi modal tetap (fixed capital) sebesar Rp 802.957.051.334,83, modal kerja (working capital) Rp 141.698.303.176,74 dan investasi total sebesar Rp 944.655.354.511,57. Biaya produksi per tahun Rp171.830.497.441,74 dan hasil penjualan per tahun Rp490.000.000.000. Dari analisa ekonomi didapatkan BEP 34%, POT sesudah pajak 4,9 tahun. Dari segi teknik dan ekonomi, pabrik garam farmasi ini layak untuk didirikan.

Folk salt has a variety of NaCl content. The high NaCl content makes the salt price increase. The purification of people's salt can be done using the vacuum pan method with a single effect evaporator. After the process of settling the salt solution, it is re-crystallized with a vacuum pan to obtain purer salt crystals. The salt crystals are then dried in a dryer and filtered to obtain the uniform size. The finished product is then packaged and marketed. The factory production capacity is 35,000 tons / year and the raw materials needed are 35,959,0402 tons / year or 4,540,2829 kg / hour. The plant operates continuously for 24 hours/day, 330 operating days/year. The establishment of a pharmaceutical salt factory requires fixed capital investment costs of Rp. 802,957,051,334.83, working capital of Rp. 141,698,303,176.74 and a total investment of Rp. 944,655,354,511.57. Production costs per year Rp.171,830,497,441.74 and annual sales proceeds Rp.490,000,000,000. From the economic analysis obtained BEP 34%, POT after tax is 4.9 years. From a technical and economic perspective, this pharmaceutical salt factory is feasible to establish.
