Abstract

PT. Y adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi gula putih terbesar di Jawa Timur. Gula yang diproduksi terdiri dari gula kemasan 50 Kg dan kemasan retail 1 Kg. Kelancaran proses produksi tentunya didukung dengan adanya mesin-mesin yang beroperasi secara efisien. Kondisi ini menyebabkan material consumable spare parts menjadi komponen penting dalam menunjang perbaikan mesin dan peralatan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh PT.Y yaitu perusahaan belum melakukan proses klasifikasifikasi consumable spare parts dengan benar, sehingga pada saat musim giling mesin produksi di PT. Y sering berhenti beroperasi dalam beberapa waktu akibat tidak tersedianya spare parts di gudang. Selain itu manajemen persediaan PT.Y kurang efisien sebab belum memiliki metode pengendalian persediaan yang relevan. Dalam melakukan pengendalian persediaan PT.Y sebatas menerapkan sistem minimal dan maksimal stock yang telah dibuat berdasarkan data permintaan tahun sebelumnya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi, dibutuhkan metode klasifikasi consumable spare parts yang mempertimbangkan ketidakpastian pada demand dan lead time berbasis risiko yaitu metode FMECA (Failure Mode, Effect, Critical Analysis) dengan mempertimbangakan proses produksi jika pabrik beroperasi tanpa consumable spare parts dan waktu kegagalan mesin akibat kekurangan persediaan. Metode ini merupakan pengembangan dari metode FMEA, dimana pada metode ini mempertimbangkan analisis criticality (CA). Kemudian dalam menentukan metode pengendalian persediaan yang tepat dibutuhkan perhitungan ADI-CV2. Dengan pola permintaan consumable spare parts yang bersifat lumpy metode yang digunakan adalah periodic review (R,s,S), sedangkan pola permintaan erratic metode yang digunakan adalah continuous review (s,S) dengan pendekatan simulasi Monte Carlo. Dari hasil yang didapatkan kategori critical item P-3055.094 kondisi constinuous review (s,S) system nilai service level mengalami peningkatan sebesar 36% dari kondisi eksisting, yang semula hanya sebesar 62% menjadi 98%. Begitu pula untuk strategi periodic review (R,s,S) system pada item RT-3059.323 nilai service level yang didapatkan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 18% dibandingkan kondisi eksisting.

Spare parts of production machines are one of the supporting components that play an important role for the continuity of production at PT. X. So that, the control of spare part of production machines inventory are the main focus in this research. Problems faced by companies often occur excess in doing spare parts of production machines inventory, so that in this case can cause high inventory costs. Inventory control calculated is the top five spare parts of production machines selected from each class in the ABC classification. The strategy of spare part of production machines inventory control in this research is grouped based on ADI calculation with ordering lead time and VC2 calculation. From the results of the grouping, the right inventory control strategy is obtained is it included in continuous review, periodic review, or MRP. This research only uses a continuous review and periodic review approach which is then carried out in a Monte Carlo Simulation to obtain performance from the initial inventory policy and improvement. The performance observed are residual inventory, stock out, total inventory costs, and service level. The results of the comparison of total inventory costs between the condition of repairs and the initial conditions of the company indicate a savings of 30%.
