Abstract

Bahan Bakar Green Diesel merupakan bahan bakar alternatif dan juga terbarukan. Proses pembuatan Green Diesel dan Biodiesel menggunakan teknologi yang berbeda walaupun menggunakan bahan baku yang sama dari minyak nabati. Green Diesel menggunakan proses hydrotreating dengan menginjeksi gas hidrogen yang bertujuan mengeliminasi oksigen dari minyak. Kualitas dari kandungan bahan bakar memengaruhi proses pembakaran yang terjadi di dalam mesin. Hasil kandungan dari bahan bakar Green Diesel lebih baik dari bahan bakar biodiesel. Getaran dan kebisingan mesin diesel dipengaruhi oleh tekanan yang tinggi akibat proses pembakaran di ruang bakar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode simulasi untuk meneliti kebisingan dan getaran yang dihasilkan oleh bahan bakar Green Diesel dibandingkan dengan Biodiesel B30 dengan menggunakan variasi kecepatan dan variasi pembebananan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan kebisingan dan getaran yang dihasilkan Green Diesel lebih tinggi dari bahan bakar Biodiesel B30, hal ini berbanding lurus dengan daya dan tekanan di ruang bakar oleh proses pembakaran bahan bakar Green Diesel. Kenaikan tekanan di ruang bakar menghasilkan ledakan yang lebih tinggi hal ini menyebabkan kebisingan dan getaran mesin diesel yang semakin tinggi. ==================================================================================================================== Green Diesel Fuel is an alternative and renewable fuel. The process of making Green Diesel and Biodiesel uses a different technology even though it uses the same raw material from vegetable oil. Green Diesel uses a hydrotreating process by injecting hydrogen gas that aims to eliminate oxygen from oil. The quality of the fuel content affects the combustion process that occurs in the engine. The yield of the content of Green Diesel fuel is better than biodiesel fuel. The vibrations and noise of diesel engines are affected by high pressure due to the combustion process in the combustion chamber. This study uses a simulation method to examine noise and vibration produced by Green Diesel fuel compared to Biodiesel B30 by using variations in speed and loading variations. The results showed the noise and vibration produced by Green Diesel are higher than Biodiesel B30 fuel, this is directly proportional to the power and pressure in the combustion chamber by the combustion process of Green Diesel fuel. The increase in pressure in the combustion chamber produces a higher explosion, this causes higher diesel engine noise and vibration.
