Abstract

Pesisir utara Jawa Timur memiliki aktivitas dan kebutuhan manusia yang tinggi. Kebutuhan manusia ini diantaranya membuka lahan baru untuk kawasan perumahan, sehingga beberapa kawasan mangrove mulai dikonversi menjadi daerah perumahan. Hal ini secara langsung dapat menyebabkan dampak ekologis yang mengancam kelestarian Lingkungan Pesisir, namun di sisi lain, kawasan mangrove di pesisir utara Jawa Timur juga dikembangkan sebagai kawasan konservasi dan pariwisata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perubahan luasan mangrove dan perubahan garis pantai di wilayah pesisir utara Jawa Timur selama rentang periode 2013 hingga 2019 berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dengan menggunakan metode klasifikasi citra Supervised-Maximum Likelihood serta menggunakan aplikasi DSAS untuk menganalisa perubahan garis pantai. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perubahan luas area hutan mangrove terbesar terdapat di Kabupaten Sidoarjo sebesar 95% sedangkan perubahan luas area hutan mangrove terendah terdapat di Kabupaten Tuban sebesar 7,20%. Hasil keterkaitan perubahan luasan mangrove dengan perubahan garis pantai dengan regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan keterkaitan terbesar terdapat di Kabupaten Sidoarjo sebesar 75%, sedangkan keterkaitan terendah terdapat di Kabupaten Lamongan sebesar 4%. These human needs include opening new land for housing areas, so that some mangrove areas have begun to be converted into residential areas. This can directly cause ecological impacts that threaten the sustainability of the Coastal Environment, but on the other hand, mangrove areas on the north coast of East Java are also developed as conservation and tourism areas. The purpose of this study is to determine changes in mangrove area and changes in coastlines in the northern coastal region of East Java during the period 2013 to 2019 based on Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using the Supervised-Maximum Likelihood image classification method and using the DSAS application to analyze shoreline changes. The results of this study showed that the largest change in mangrove forest area was in Sidoarjo Regency by 95%, while the lowest change in mangrove forest area was in Tuban Regency at 7.20%. The results of the relationship between changes in mangrove area and shoreline changes with simple linear regression showed that the greatest relationship was in Sidoarjo Regency at 75%, while the lowest linkage was in Lamongan Regency at 4%.
