Abstract

Penelitian mengenai preparasi Fe3O4 Dari Pasir Besi Dan Proses Nitridasi Dengan Variasi Suhu Dan Waktu telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis material besi oksida (Fe3O4) melalui proses kopresipitasi dan mempelajari pengaruh variasi suhu dan waktu nitridasi pada proses Fe3O4. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan proses kopresipitasi untuk menghasilkan ukuran sampel nanopartikel dan proses nitridasi agar dapat menghasilkan besi nitrida (Fe-N). Setelah itu sampel dikarakterisasi menggunakan X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) dan Energy Dispersive of X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS). Hasil setelah karakterisasi pada sampel sesudah proses kopresipitasi memiliki ukuran 65.2 nm atau tidak lebih dari 100 nm sehingga metode kopresipitasi yang dilakukan sudah berhasil menghasilkan ukuran kristal material dalam orde nanometer. Pada hasil karakterisasi variasi Nitriding dengan suhu dan waktu yang ditentukan, besi nitrida (Fe3N) teridentifikasi pada variasi suhu 600°C dan waktu 2 jam dimana suhu berpengaruh terhadap reaksi gas dengan sampel dan waktu berpengaruh terhadap jumlah konsentrasi gas yang mengalir pada sampel ======================================================== Research on the preparation of Fe3O4 from iron sand and nitriding processes with variations in temperature and time has been carried out. This study aims to analyze the material of iron oxide (Fe3O4) through the coprecipitation process and study the effect of variations in temperature and nitriding time on the Fe3O4 process. In this study coprecipitation process were used to produce nanoparticle sample sizes and nitriding processes were used in order to produce iron nitride (Fe-N). After that the samples were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive of X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS). The results from characterization of the samples shows after the coprecipitation process, the sample has a size of 65.2 nm or no more than 100 nm, so it can be concluded that the coprecipitation method has succeeded in producing a crystal size of the material in the nanometer order. In the results of characterization of nitriding variations with the specified temperature and time, iron nitride (Fe3N) was identified at a temperature variation of 600°C and a time of 2 hours where the temperature affects the reaction of the gas with the sample and time influences the amount of gas concentration flowing in the sample
