Abstract

Belakangan ini sering dijumpai pemeluk agama Islam belum mewakili pengetahuan para tokoh agamanya. Salah satu tokoh penjelajah terkenal dari kalangan umat Islam adalah Ibnu Batutah, karya-karya terjemahan berbagai bahasa dari buku catatan perjalanan petualanganya menjadi rujukan para sejarawan, akan tetapi keberadaan pengemasan kisah Ibnu Batutah sangat sedikit sekali untuk kalangan anak-anak saat ini. Maka diperlukan perancangan terhadap metode buku cerita mengenai perjalanan Ibnu Batutah yang sesuai dengan anak-anak saat ini. Metode perancangan yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik Affinity Diagram untuk menyederhanakan permasalahan yang kompleks tergolong dalam experimental research. Buku cerita disusun berdasarkan metode perancangan dengan memfokuskan poin yang sudah didapat, dari pemilihan genre Middle Grade
digabungkan dengan Picture Book, Penataan Layout format text diutamakan dibaca terlebih dahulu, jenis illustrasi lineless, dan poin cerita dari sudut pandang orang pertama dan ketiga.

Nowadays, we often meet muslim has not represented the knowledge of their religion leaders. One of the famous muslim explorer, Ibnu Batutah, who has travel record that has translated in many languages and as a resource for historian. The availability of Ibnu Batutah’s travel record has not available as many as other story for the children. So, it is required a plan as a story book method about Ibnu Batutah’s journey that is suitable for children. Planning method that is doing by Affinity Diagram to make the complex problem will be the simpler one, this method is including in experimental research. This story book has arranged based on planning method that is focusing on poin that it has get, from choosing genre Middle Grade combined with Picture Book, layout arrangement text format be considered as important to read first, the kind of lineless illustration, and story point from point of view first person and third person.
