Abstract

Lagu dolanan merupakan lagu anak berbahasa Jawa yang menjadi sarana penyampaian nilai-nilai moral dan budaya Jawa. Namun permainan dan kegiatan yang mengenalkan lagu dolanan secara konvensional mulai ditinggalkan. Melihat perkembangan media hiburan anak saat ini yang beralih ke internet, media video animasi berpotensi untuk melestarikan suatu kebudayaan. Salah satu pendekatan yang sering digunakan dalam animasi untuk anak-anak adalah antropomorfisme, yaitu penerapan sifat-sifat manusia kepada benda atau makhluk selain manusia. Simbolisme hewan dalam animasi membantu menyampaikan informasi mengenai karakter dengan lebih cepat. Karakter hewan juga memiliki daya tarik bagi anak-anak yang membuat karakter lebih mudah diingat. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, yaitu tinjauan pustaka, riset eksperimental, dan in-depth interview. Tinjauan pustaka meliputi analisis terhadap hasil desain sejenis yang dapat dijadikan acuan perancangan, serta analisis terhadap teori-teori yang berkaitan dengan konten dan teknis pembuatan media. Analisis dalam tinjauan pustaka menghasilkan kriteria desain yang dijadikan acuan riset eksperimental. Hasil dari riset eksperimental berupa eksplorasi desain konten animasi, mulai dari alur cerita, musik, hingga visualisasinya berupa desain karakter dan desain environment. Selanjutnya, in-depth interview dilakukan dengan praktisi di bidang pendidikan anak, animasi, dan musik tradisional Jawa untuk memperoleh masukan terhadap hasil riset eksperimental. Animasi menggunakan pendekatan antropomorfisme di mana nilai-nilai karakter manusia dalam lagu dolanan dikembangkan menjadi sebuah cerita dongeng berkarakter hewan. Perancangan animasi meliputi penulisan cerita, desain karakter, dan desain environment. Hasil akhir dari perancangan ini adalah animasi kasar atau animatic yang diadaptasi dari salah satu judul lagu dolanan, yaitu “Menthok-Menthok”. ============================================================ Dolanan song is a children's song in Javanese language which is a means of conveying Javanese moral and cultural values. However, traditional games and activities that introduce dolanan songs are starting to be abandoned. The current shift of children's entertainment media into the internet creates potential for animated video media to a means of cultural preservation. One of the approach often used in animation for children is anthropomorphism, which is the application of human characteristics to objects or creatures other than humans. Animal symbolism in animation helps convey information about characters more quickly. Animal attributes also helps in creating a more memorable character for children. This design uses qualitative research methods, namely literature review, experimental research, and in-depth interviews. Literature review includes an analysis of similar designs that can be used as references, as well as analysis of theories related to the content and technical aspect in producing the media. The analysis in the literature review produces design criteria that are used as a reference for experimental research. The experimental research results into exploration of the animation design, starting from the storyline, music, and visualization in the form of character designs and environment designs. Furthermore, in-depth interviews were conducted with practitioners in the field of children education, animation, and Javanese traditional music to obtain input on the results of experimental research. This animation uses an anthropomorphic approach to develop character education aspect from dolanan song into a fairy tale adaptation with animal characters. Animation design includes screenwriting, character design, and environment design. The final result of this design is a rough animation or animatic adapted from one of the Dolanan song titles, namely "Menthok-Menthok".
