Abstract

Surabaya yang dikenal sebagai kota pahlawan yang kaya akan peninggalan bersejarah hasil perlawanan masyarakat Kota Surabaya terhadap penjajahan Jepang dan Belanda. Selain itu, letaknya yang strategis membuat kota ini menjadi pusat perdagangan maritim di wilayah Indonesia bagian timur yang turut menyumbang keberagaman etnis yang pada akhirnya ikut menjadi bagian dari warga Surabaya selama berabad-abad. Perancangan video promosi Kota Surabaya ini bertujuan untuk membantu upaya pemerintah kota dalam memperkenalkan potensi Kota Surabaya melalui keanekaragaman budaya Surabaya kepada masyarakat Indonesia dan mancanegara. Proses perancangan video promosi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa metode penilitan berupa analisis studi literatur, observasi, kuisioner, dan studi eksisting dari komparator. Hasil analisis data tersebut akan digunakan untuk merumuskan dan sebagai acuan kriteria dan konsep desain media video promosi. Hasil akhir dari perancangan ini adalah video promosi terkait potensi wisata Kota Surabaya yang menonjolkan keanekaragaman yang ada di Kota Surabaya. Konsep dari video promosi ini berfokus pada wisata yang memberikan experience kepada wisatawan. Melalui perancangan ini, diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan Kota Surabaya dan meratakan ekonomi penduduk di berbagai sektor. ============================================================ Surabaya, which is known as a city of heroes, is rich in historical heritage as a result of the resistance of the people of Surabaya against Japanese and Dutch colonialism. In addition, its strategic location has made this city as the center of maritime trade in the eastern part of Indonesia, which has contributed to ethnic diversity which has eventually become part of the citizens of Surabaya for centuries. The design of the Surabaya City promotional video aims to assist the city government's efforts in introducing the potential of the City of Surabaya through the cultural diversity of Surabaya to Indonesian and foreign people. The process of designing this promotional video is carried out by using several research methods in the form of analysis of literature studies, observations, questionnaires, and existing studies from comparators. The results of the data analysis will be used to formulate and served as a reference for the criteria and design concepts for the promotional video media. The final result of this design is a promotional video related to the tourism potential of Surabaya City which highlights the diversity that exists in the city of Surabaya. The concept of this promotional video focuses on tourist attraction spots that provide experiences to tourists. Through this design, it is hoped that it can help increase the number of tourists in the city of Surabaya and flatten the economy of the population in various sectors.
