Abstract

Produksi sampah semakin meningkat seiring pertambahan penduduk setiap tahunnya. Timbulan sampah di Kecamatan Sidoarjo didominasi oleh sampah organik, yaitu sekitar 65% dari timbulan sampah. Hal ini karena adanya paradigma lama dalam pengelolaan sampah organik (kumpul-angkut-buang), sehingga terjadi penumpukan timbulan sampah yang dapat mencemari dan menghasilkan gas-gas berbahaya. Maka dari itu perlu adanya penelitian tentang potensi reduksi sampah industri petis dan restoran Di Kecamatan Sidoarjo Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan aspek teknis dan aspek pastisipasi masyarakat. Pendekatan aspek teknis yaitu mengukur timbulan dan komposisi sampah industri petis dan restoran, sehingga didapatkan potensi reduksi sampah. Data yang telah didapatkan akan dibandingkan dengan hasil survei langsung ke sumber sampah dan hasil kuisioner partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah industri petis dan restoran. Hasil kuisioner dianalisis dengan menggnakan metode skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa timbulan sampah rata-rata industri petis sebesar 877,15 kg/hari dengan potensi reduksi sampah sebesar 74,11% (pakan ternak 63,65%, briket 11,40%, dan diloakkan atau dibuat kerajinan 0,06%). Timbulan sampah rata-rata restoran di Kecamatan Sidoarjo adalah 12630,69 kg/hari dengan potensi reduksi sampah mencapai 69,88% (biogas 34,58%, pakan ternak 11,52%, diloakkan/kerajinan 9,87%, briket 7,49%, dan kompos 6,42%). Berdasarkan metode skala likert didapatkan bahwa responden sudah cukup tahu tentang pengelolaan sampah dan juga sikap responden sudah cukup baik. Perilaku responden dalam partisipasi pengelolaan sampah pada realitanya masih sangat kurang ============================================================================================== Solid waste production is increasing as population growth each year. Solid waste generation in the district of Sidoarjo is dominated by organic solid waste, which is about 65% of the total solid waste generation. Therefore, necessary to study on the potential for reducing the solid waste of industry of petis and restaurant in the District of Sidoarjo. This study used the approach of the technical aspects and community participation aspects. Technical aspects is measure the generation and composition of solid waste in industry of petis and restaurant, then obtain the potential for reducing the solid waste. The data have been obtained will be compared with the survey results to the source of solid waste and the results of questionnaires community participation in industry of petis and restaurant waste management. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by Likert method. The result showed that the average solid waste generation of industries petis was 877,15 kg/day with the potential reduction of solid waste was 74,11% (63,65% of animal feed, 11,40% of briquettes, and 0,06% of sale or the craft made). Average solid iii waste generation of restaurants in the district of Sidoarjo is 12630,69 kg/day with the potential reduction of solid waste reached 69,88% (34,58% of biogas, 11,52% of animal feed, 9,87% of sale or the craft made, 7,49% of briquettes, and 6,42% of compost).
