Abstract

Reka ulang kapal memiliki berat kosong 10,31 ton. Berat kargo yang diangkut kapal seberat 34,92 ton. Kapal memiliki kecepatan 6 knot pada angin buritan 12 knot.

==========================================================

An ancient ship was discovered in the village of Punjulharjo, Rembang, Central Java in 2008. It is estimated that the ship originated in the 7th century AD. The discovery is very important as it is the oldest wooden boat to be found in a relatively intact conditions in Indonesia. Parts found intact from the ship are the lower hull and the steering beams. The full shape of the boat is yet to be determined. Therefore a re-creation of the Punjulharjo Ship is needed. In this study a re-engineering of the Punjulahrjo vessel and technical analysis of the boat was carried out to determine the performance of the boat. Reconstruction is done by the way of determining main dimension, hul form, superstructure, rigging, and rudder. Based on the results of the reconstructions, the boat has length of 15 meters LOA, a width of 4 meters, and a height of 1.8 meters. The ship uses tanja sails as a main propulsion and using quarter rudder. The re-engineering of the ship has an light weight of 10.31 tons. The boat is able to carry a payload of 34.92 tons. The ship can attain speed of 6 knots in 12knots downwind.
