Abstract

Kondisi hiperglikemik dapat menyebabkan kerusakan jaringan hati. Pemberian albumin dapat meregenerasi jaringan hati. Ekstrak ikan gabus (Channa striata) banyak mengandung albumin sehingga dilakukan penelitian potensi ekstrak ikan gabus untuk meregenerasi jaringan hati mencit (Mus musculus) hiperglikemik. Hiperglikemik pada mencit diinduksi dengan aloksan dosis tunggal 190 mg/kg berat badan secara intraperitoneal. Terapi menggunakan ekstrak ikan gabus dilakukan selama 14 hari dengan dosis bervariasi. Pengukuran kadar glukosa darah menggunakan glukometer Accu-Check Roche®. Preparasi histologi hati mencit dengan metode irisan paraffin pewarnaan haematoxylin-eosin, pengamatan dilakukan dengan mikroskop fotografi Olympus® BX-41. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi ekstrak ikan gabus dapat meregenerasi jaringan hati paling baik pada dosis 0,14846 ml/hari, dengan persentase perbaikan dari kondisi hiperglikemik sebesar 80,56% ============================================================================================= Hyperglycemic conditions can cause tissue damage in the heart. Albumin can regenerate tissue of liver. Snake-head fish (Channa striata) extract contain of albumines so that researched about potential of snake-head fish extract to regenerate tissue of liver of white-mice (Mus musculus) hyperglycemic. Hyperglycemic of white-mice induced by alloxan single dose of 190 mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally. Therapy use snake-head fish extract conducted for 14 days with varying doses. Measurement of blood glucose level using glucometer of Roche Accu-Check®. Preparation of white-mice liver histology with paraffin slices method staining with haematoxylin-eosin, observations were made with a microscope photography of Olympus® BX-41. The results showed that the fish extract cork therapy can regenerate liver tissue are best at doses 0.14846 ml / day, with the percentage improvement of hyperglycemic condition by 80.56%
