Abstract

Salah satu komoditi perikanan yang memiliki potensi pasar dunia adalah ikan tuna. Peluang
pasar ikan ini cukup besar, baik ekspor maupun pasar lokal. Sasaran ekspor ikan tuna yang
terbesar adalah Jepang. Biasanya tuna yang diekspor ke Jepang adalah tuna yang masih segar
untuk dibuat sashimi atau sushi. Salah satu daerah yang memiliki potensi perikanan yang cukup
besar berada di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara yaitu Kota Bitung, Kota Bitung memiliki sumber daya
laut dan perikanan yang sangat potensial. Namun, Kapal-kapal ikan pada daerah tersebut masih
belum maksimal dalam memanfaatkan potensi ini dikarenakan banyak dari kapal-kapal
tradisional yang mangkrak dan tidak terurus dikarenakan pemilik tidak mampu membiayai
biaya operasional yang tinggi untuk bahan bakar, dan juga penerapan teknologi yang masih
sederhana/konvensional. Selain itu pengolahan ikan tuna melalui alur yang panjang untuk
diproduksi menjadi tuna loin. Dengan maksud untuk menunjang pemanfaatan potensi
perikanan, mempercepat alur produksi, mengurangi jumlah pemakaian dan mengurangi emisi
bahan bakar. Maka pada Tugas Akhir ini akan didesain kapal penangkap dan pengolah tuna
dengan sistem propulsi hibrida. Hasil dari Tugas Akhir ini berupa kapal dengan payload 4.5 ton
ikan, dengan ukuran utama kapal L: 20.66 m; B: 4.76 m; H: 2 m; T: 1.6; Vs: 8 Knot dengan
rute pelayaran di Laut Sulawesi, Sulawesi Utara. Kapal menggunakan sistem propusi hibrida
yaitu kombinasi antara electric motor dan diesel engine dengan sumber daya dari gas hidrogen
(Fuel Cell) yang langsung diproduksi On-Board dari air laut. Analisis teknis yang dilakukan
meliputi perhitungan berat, perhitungan stabilitas, perhitungan trim, perhitungan freeboard, dan
dilakukan desain rencana garis, rencana umum, desain model tiga dimensi serta analisis
ekonomis. Biaya pembangunan kapal sebesar Rp 4.648.691.069, biaya operasional dalam satu
tahun sebesar Rp 1.946.648.017 dan proyeksi pendapatan dalam satu tahun sebesar Rp
3.510.500.000. Payback Period didapatkan dengan pemakaian jasa selama 5 tahun, 6 bulan dan
7 hari. Persentase IRR sebesar 28.01%.

One of the fisheries commodities that has the potential of the world market is tuna. Tuna market
opportunities are quite large, both export and local markets. The biggest tuna export target is
Japan. Usually tuna exported to Japan is fresh tuna for sashimi or sushi. One area that has
considere tuna fisheries potential is in North Sulawesi, Bitung. Bitung City has very big
potential to marine and fisheries resources. However, fishing vessels in the area are still not
optimally utilizing this potential because many of the traditional vessels are stalled and
neglected because the owner is unable to pay the high operational costs for fuel, and also the
application of technology still conventional. Besides, processing tuna through a long channel
to be produced into tuna loin. In purpose to support the fisheries potential, accelerate the
production flow, and reduce the fuel emissions. Therefore, this Final Project will design of
catching and processing tuna vessels with hybrid propulsion system. The results of this Final
Project are vessels with a payload of 4.5 tons of fish, with the main dimensions of the ship L:
20.66 m; B: 4.76 m; H: 2m; T: 1.6; Vs: 8 Knots with shipping routes in the Sulawesi Sea, North
Sulawesi. The ship uses hybrid propusion system that is a combination of electric motor and
diesel engine with the power source of hydrogen gas (Fuel Cell) which is directly produced on
board from sea water. Technical analysis included weight calculation, stability calculation, trim
calculation, freeboard calculation, and lines plan design, general plan design, three dimension
model design and economic analysis. Vessel construction costs are Rp 4,648,691,069,
operational costs in one year are Rp 1,946,648,017 and projected income in one year is Rp
3,510,500,000. Payback Period is obtained by using services for 5 years, 6 months and 7 days.
Percentage of IRR of 28.01%.
