Abstract

Wireless sensor network (WSN) merupakan sebuah jaringan yang terdiri dari banyak sensor node yang berfungsi untuk memantau sebuah fenomena di sekitarnya. Setiap sensor node memiliki sumber daya energi berupa baterai dengan kapasitas yang terbatas, sementara data hasil pemantauan dikirim ke sink menggunakan routing protocol tertentu.
Pengiriman data yang bersifat terpusat menuju sink menggunakan teknik greedy dapat menyebabkan transmisi jaringan yang padat sehingga konsumsi energi berlebih. Maka diperlukan mekanisme untuk mencegah terjadinya hal tersebut.
Pada tugas akhir ini, prioritas data dibagi menjadi 3, yaitu fire, abnormal, dan normal. Setiap prioritas memiliki jalur node yang berbeda dan didasarkan pada urutan jarak terpendek. Kapasitas penampungan pada saat agregasi data juga didasarkan pada masing-masing jenis prioritas. Data hasil agregasi dikirim melalui jalur node yang sesuai dengan prioritas data tersebut. Dengan mengurangi kepadatan transmisi data, konsumsi energi bisa ditekan sehingga dapat memperpanjang network lifetime.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network consisting of many sensor nodes whose function is to monitor a phenomenon in its surroundings. Each sensor node has an energy resource in the form of a battery with a limited capacity, meanwhile, the result of monitoring data is sent to the sink using a specific routing protocol.
Centralized data transmission to the sink using greedy technique can cause congested network transmission so that energy consumption becomes excessive. Therefore, a necessary mechanism is needed to prevent those cases.
In this undergraduate thesis, data priority is divided into 3, namely fire, abnormal, and normal. Each data priority has different node path and is based on the order of the shortest distance. The capacity of data aggregation value is also based on each priority type. The result of data aggregation process is sent through node path which fit in the data priority. By reducing the congestion of data transmission, energy consumption can also be reduced so it can extend network lifetime.
