Abstract

=============================================================================================== The relocation of the new National Capital City (IKN) to Penajam Paser Utara and Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan has resulted in an increase in the need for construction materials to the location of the new State Capital (IKN). 90% of construction materials are shipped by sea and require adequate marine transportation infrastructure. Semayang Port Balikpapan is one of the closest ports to the location of the new State Capital (IKN) relocation which can be used as an alternative to support the relocation. The research objective in this final project is to create a model for infrastructure development at the Semayang Port in Balikpapan. In making the development model, analysis of the value of Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR), Storage Occupancy Ratio (SOR) and the depth of shipping lanes and port pools with scenarios of using 5 (five) types of vessels, namely general cargo, containers, bulk carriers, tankers, and LCT. with a payload variation of 5000 to 25000 tons. From this analysis, it was found that there was a need for an additional 3,350 m dock length for general cargo ships and 2,683 m for container ships. Additional storage area for 80,323 m2 for general cargo ships, 29,599 m2 for container cargo and 8,257 m2 for bulk carrier and tanker cargo. Dredging of shipping lanes and port ponds is carried out on ships with payload variations of 20,000 tonnes to 1.5 m deep and payload variations of 25 000 tonnes to 2 m deep.
