Abstract

================================================================================================================== Indonesia is a country with fisheries potential with high economic value, such as skipjack, tuna, mackerel, red snapper, white snapper, mackerel, balaki tuna, mackerel and kite. Fish health inventory is very important in an effort to maintain the quality of fishery products and the safety of consumers. A literature study has been conducted to determine health conditions based on data on parasite infection in economically valuable fish marketed in Indonesia, namely from the West Papua, Bali, Aceh, West Java, Banten, East Java, Central Java, West Sulawesi and NTT. This literature study is carried out based on libraries, primary and secondary data from research results, journals, and other literature sources. Meanwhile, the fish health status refers to Williams and Bunkley (1996). The results showed that there were 18 types of ectoparasites and 14 types of endoparasites with a prevalence range of 3.33% - 100% and an intensity of 1 - 20.8. Skipjack tuna is the fish most infected with parasites (12 species) and the lowest is white snapper (1 species). Most of the fish health conditions (85.11%) were of very low to low status; moderate (8.51%) and severe (6.38%). The highest prevalence (100%) was ectoparasites Trematoda sp in tuna and endoparasites Lecithocladium sp in the intestines of mackerel. The highest parasite distribution was in gills (38.3%) and the lowest was in the liver and intestines (2.1%). In this literature study, the highest incidence of parasite infection was 46.8% in West Papua and the lowest was 2.1% in East Java, Central Java, West Sulawesi and NTT.
