Abstract
Konteks: PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang produksi permen jahe dengan misi memproduksi permen jahe berkualitas tinggi. Sebagai upaya untuk mencapai misi dan meningkatkan kinerja proses bisnis, PT. XYZ telah memiliki sistem otomatisasi yang dibuat menggunakan tools ProcessMaker. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi handover dalam proses, memberikan notifikasi pengingat untuk user, dan juga meningkatkan traceability proses.
Permasalahan: Meskipun telah dibuat suatu sistem otomatisasi yang diharapkan dapat menjawab kendala-kendala pada proses pengendalian kualitas, namun masih belum ada analisis dan evaluasi terkait penerapan sistem otomatisasi ini. Kendala tersebut antara lain kesulitan dalam melakukan tracking case dan memproses persetujuan secara real-time, serta membutuhkan waktu lama untuk melakukan transfer informasi antar departemen.
Tujuan: Penelitian tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja proses bisnis pengendalian kualitas berdasarkan evaluasi keadaan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan WfMS.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan simulatif. Secara kualitatif, penelitian dilakukan dengan survei, wawancara, dan user training. Sementara secara simulasi, pengukuran dilakukan secara kuantitatif menggunakan metode measurement approach yang mengkombinasikan data kinerja di lapangan dengan data simulasi.
Hasil yang dicapai: Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa WfMS dapat memudahkan tracking case yang sedang berjalan, mempersingkat waktu transfer informasi dengan 88% penurunan waktu siklus, memberikan notifikasi pekerjaan sebagai reminder untuk user, dan dapat memproses persetujuan secara real-time
Manfaat: Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu perusahaan untuk menetapkan strategi yang tepat dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja proses bisnis, selain itu juga menjadi referensi dalam penelitian selanjutnya tentang penerapan Workflow Management Systems (WfMS) pada suatu organisasi.

Context: PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company of ginger candy production with the mission of producing high quality ginger candy. To support the achievement of this mission, further attention is needed to improve the performance of business processes in the quality control process which is directly supervised by the Quality Control Department. As an effort to improve business process performance, PT. XYZ already has an automation system made using ProcessMaker tools. This system is expected to reduce handovers in the process, provide reminder notifications to users, and also improve process traceability.
Problems: Although an automation system has been created which is expected to be able to answer constraints in the quality control process, there is still no analysis and evaluation related to the application of this automation system. These include difficulties in tracking cases and processing approvals in real-time, as well as taking a long time to transfer information between departments.
Objective: This final project research aims to improve the performance of the quality control business process from a time point of view based on the evaluation of conditions before and after the implementation of WfMS
Methods: This study uses qualitative and simulative methods. Qualitatively, the research was conducted by means of surveys, interviews, and user training. Meanwhile, in simulation, measurements are carried out quantitatively using the measurement approach method that combines field performance data with simulation data
Results: The results of this study prove that WfMS can facilitate ongoing tracking cases, shorten information transfer times with 88% reduction in cycle times, provide job notifications as a reminder for users, and can process real-time approvals
Benefit: This study is expected to help companies determine the right strategy in order to improve business process performance, as well as being a reference in further research on the application of Workflow Management Systems (WfMS) in an organization.
