Abstract

Akhir tahun 2019 terdapat wabah baru yaitu Covid-19 dimana diberlakukan kebijakan Work From Home (WFH), seperti pembelajaran daring di institusi pendidikan. Hampir satu tahun, pembelajaran daring banyak mengalami kendala, seperti masalah teknis maupun proses pembelajaran.

In response to COVID-19 that has occurred from the late 2019 until present, Work From Home (WFH) implementation in education system is inevitable. For almost a year to its implementation, online learning has induced numerous issues from subjective to technical matters during learning process. The generally found issue is many high school students have expressed dissatisfaction against teacher's excessive assignments during online learning which deemed to contribute towards the increase of mental workload and stress. As these factors can affect overall learning performance, therefore, a related study is conducted by using (Defense Research Agency Workload Scale), RSME (Rating Scale Mental Effort), and SLSI (The Student-life Stress Inventory) methods. This study was able to collect 360 responses from high school students who went through Cambridge Curriculum learning system and SKS (Credit Unit System). The learning system for traditional and online learning methods were used as independent variables, while the DRAWS, RSME, SLSI scores, traditional and online learning score reports were used as dependent variables. According to this study, high school students have a mental workload that fits the definition of overload and under moderate stress. In addition, one of recommendations for improving learning methods is teachers are expected to use asynchronous (audio-visual video) mechanisms when delivering materials from time to time
